This is a good idea yes legit, but it implies we will all be thief.

Which may not be good for everyone.

I guess to prevent implying that all PVP-Chars there are "thiefs", there should be also a "loot-window" where you can accept to loot or not. Then it is the choice of the player, if he wanna be a bad guy or a good guy.

Ok, that’s a bit off topic then... And I think many people would oppose it if proposed as its own idea. Community is a big part of what keeps the game (barely) alive, not faction related mechanics. So if we start getting docked fame for rezzing a friend that asked in region, etc, I don’t think that would work well. We also don’t always know the fame or faction of the player we are helping.

Okay, totally forgot- if it’s rare for mortal enemies to team up, then there is no need for any of these changes, right!?!?

Losing fame for attacking your own positively fame-aligned players is logical and acceptable.

Looting money or items off other players is one massive invitation to griefing and will on the mid-term run have PvP nearly cease to exist besides between those few who'll ooc-wise work together anyways (but they'll get bored soon enough too).

Having the staff intervene and adjust peoples fame is a right-out bad idea.

If I have to explain on the above said for anyone to understand, then there's an even deeper rooted problem around here than the above statements alone indicate.

Not something that will drop fame to the abyss. But losing max fame could be already a serious matter. (could be easily retrieved with missions, but, if every days....)

I guess there are 2 ways:

Consequences or Restriction. But both do the same: Factions will work more together and alliances wont work as it is. If we wanna this type of gameplay, here we go ;-)

So lets go deeper in practically manner:

Actual there are two layers: Factional PVP and PVE. (Other PVP like duels or OP-Fight wont have any effect.

Loosing or gaining Fame by every kill is not a big deal and wont encourage players to be more tagged than it is.

There should be a motivator for being PVP tagged. Thats what we are talking about in this actual system. PVP just for fun can be also done in duels or in the matis arena i.e.

So earning something except PVP-Points should be implemented that is worthy for everyday habits. Dappers is a good thing to steal/earn (depends on your RP).

Another idea is: To steal dappers, you need to make the enemy weak lets say about 10%-25% of you HP must stay. Then you have to stun or sleep the char. ONLY then you can loot dappers, factions-points etc. or something else, what makes it difficult to loot, but still possible.

There should be also a BIG WARNING, that it can be stolen some Dappers from you if you activate the tag.

When it comes to PVE (hunting, leveling) , there could be also a fame mechanic to gain loose fame. (addition to be clear: that happens only if you are tagged)

Lets say a Mara and a Karavan are hunting. Mara will loose his own fame, but gain Fame for Karavan and the Karavan will loose his Karavan fame and gain Mara fame. But it should be still low by every kill. Lets say 0,06 by every kill. That should only work if both chars are aligned (my opinion).

Another Situation: Ranger and Mara are hunting. Ranger loose 0,01 on Fyros, Matis, Tryker, Zorai, Kami and Karavan, but gain 0,06 in Mara fame. Mara loose 0,06 fame on Mara, but gain 0,01 on Fyros, Matis, Tryker, Zorai, Kami and Karavan.

Neutrals with no alignment should be an exception. Or a fame restriction: You cant loose any fame if you are between -50/+50 Fame.

I think that is acceptable.

As a permanent PvP tagged player, i wouldn't intend to heal my enemies for example, leveling or not, so PvE content or not.

It do not bother me really if i would lose a bit of fame or something when i do it.
It is legit, some of my own kind could see me, judge or/and even think about treachery etc..

To me every actions should have consequency.
This is ofc my opinion, since my way to play is related to pure faction play.

Given the demographics of this server, I have little choice but to cross faction lines with regualrity; since I am neither Kami nor Marauder, it's hard for me to find people in my faction or my guild's faction to train or hunt with. My fear is that some of these proposals would lead to a decrease in the already small number of people who tag up for PvP, especially among the greatly-outnumbered Karavan. (Rangers are unlikely to tag regardless.)

If i protect my son or even myself in the darkness of the Pyr street, when bandits and poor people are pushed to take weapons, the greed and the hungryness..

I don't think Revvy would like to earn dappers for this, it just make no sense.

Nor like i think it is by pleasure some Homins take weapons against each others.
One cannot want to be a Thief by taking weapons for reason.

This peace and love mentality doesn't apply for all on Atys, depending where you did grow Moniq.
But maybe.. it is just the Ranger mentality.. thinking of themselv to be more elitist than a high-graded Matis.
