This has happenes before. I go harvest Choice Abhaya Wood of quality 60 and 70, I then am told I have to give this person 3 bundles, I have approximately 30 bundles in my bag. But the dialog, which tells me "give 1 item", I do a left click and nothing happens, as if I have none of those item in by bag to give this person to.

OK, what is going on with this interaction.

I have done something very similar, with my Matis character, as a florist.

My question is: why? Why? WHY???

Maybe you have "locked" the item in your inventory..?

---

#3 Report | Quote[en]

Nope, none of them are locked.

That was the first thing I looked at.

Are you sure it is asking you for wood?

OK, first. I had logged out for lunch and when I logged in again, it worked. So it probably had something to do with... hmmm... something.

However, the only things I harvest for is always choice or better. Don't ask.
Also, when turning things for toolmaker, I have much quantities of all componants I need. Which is currently Adriel Bark, Abhaya Wood, Izam Leather, and Capryni Hooves; each of quality at least 20.

But, anywell, thank you for your suggestions.

the always faithful log to the rescue, if only this wasn't the typical solution to strange bugs that we can't track down....

No worries, I have recently figured out why my computer was always crashing Ryzom (bad RAM), so the fact that I can say logged for more than a half-hour at a time is, in my opinion, a good thing for me. I have been logged in for 6 hours on one accasion... that is agood thing.

hmmm *Thinking way back...* when i did Toolmaker i seem to remember the mats asked for were specific, you cannot turn in 'Choice' mats, it asked for 'fine' this or 'basic' that, iirc. Or you had to also kill a specific animal that dropped the right mats and there was only one or two in the 'Pod,' meaning... you had to kill the whole pod to get 4 (or whatever the requirements were ), So you needed the right animal to respawn so you can kill more.

yes, it was a pain in the 'you know what,' but im glad its done! :D

One suggestion, on the mission to turn in crafted 1h items, get someone to craft up a ton of them for you, (q50 i believe, have them craft the max level you will need. You can use them on any grade), then you don't have to buy the plans & craft yourself.

Patience rewarded is a nice feeling! Have fun :)

Oh, yesterday, I had turned in my toolmaker "things" to NH, and I got some DAPPERS. Yeah, most of you have done these things before, but it was my first time at doing this, YEAH!

whatever...

PS: my other account is Kovabon.

This is why I like Water Carrier.

Hey!

I sold my first from the toolmakers a few days ago. I got some dappers.

YAHOO!

Also, what's up with that three minute limit when I get the practice tool. I only ask that question when I am logged in, and I WANT to look it up offline, but I keep forgetting!

The first couple times it's a bit daunting, but after doing Water Carrier so many times, I've memorized the recipes for Grade 1 and 2 to where it's almost reflex.

And that's the trick; trying different recipes to get 100%. See, there's 5 questions each with 7 answers for a total or 7^5 possibilities (or "recipes") and only 1 of those 16,807 (that's what 7^5 equals) is a 100% recipe that will get you 18 products for maximum profit from NH. It's kind of a puzzle.

To put it in real-world terms, think of it as going to McDonalds for a burger. You don't want to be that person that gets to the head and then sits there for 20 minutes studying the menu, do you? Basically, you're supposed to know the recipe you want to try well enough to just hand them your stuff, answer bapbapbapbapbap, and collect your product about as fast as you'd give your order at McD's because that occupation master wants to go from "Can I take your order?" to "Have a nice day!" just as fast as that McDonalds cashier. Does that explain the short time limit?

But how to know what recipe you want to use before you begin the mission? The game remembers your best recipe for each grade of each occupation, so you don't have to fill up notebooks or brain cells remembering yourself; when you hit P and call up your stats, there's 4 tabs in that window and one of them is Occupations.

If you tried to figure out the recipe yourself without resorting to looking it up, how long it would take would depend on how good your puzzle-solving skills are. If you know the numbers the way many computer/math geeks do, you could use a little logical deduction to develop the technique to narrow it down considerably. While 1-in-16,807 may seem like needle-in-a-haystack, it's really only 1-in-35 ;)

If you want to look it up online instead of trying to solve the puzzle, you should consider doing that before you start the "practice Grade X" mission.

I had looked on-line for the recipies for toolmaker. My question is: What's up with that 3 minute countdown when I get the practice tool. It doesn't have anything with selling the practice tools to NH, So what is the deal with the countdown?

Atyss is always hard (takes away your cookie and slaps you) but I keep all the 100% ones on a list on my comp - then I open that before taking the mission - so I know what the recipe is before I start

There is a list of occ recipes @100% somewhere - if you do not want to mess about with the maths of doing it yourself - Freddy wrote a guide for that

I can mail it to you if you want? Or you can open the "spoiler" here

This idea of "I'm offended". Well I've got news for you. I'm offended by a lot of things too. Where do I send my list? Life is offensive. You know what I mean? Just get in touch with your outer adult. (Bill Hicks)
