[i]guild recruitment criteria or other statements (not necessary)
role play: are you committed to role play? ( [+/-RP] ) And if wished with indication of weight on RP, hence full RP [+RP] or minor interest [-RP]
PvP (Player vs Player): Whats your stand on PvP? ( No PvP: [-PvP] - PvP don't mind PvP, but its not the main goal: [+/-PvP] - PvP as a main goal: [+PvP] )

Need more detail on the RP tag.

[Non-RP]
Describes any guild that has no specific interest in roleplaying, that "allows" or nominally "supports" members who happen to roleplay.

[Semi-RP]
Describes a guild in which most or all members roleplay sometimes.

[High-RP]
Describes a guild focused on RP. Members consider some chat channels, e.g. Around, to be In-Character by default. But they also consider some channels, e.g. Guild, to be Out-Of-Character by default.

[Full-RP]
Describes a guild heavily focused on RP. Generally, members consider all chat channels to be In-Character by default.

RP implemented slightly different as it would take up a lot of space (sry)

Otherwise, 2 guilds entered so far and I will go back for up to 4 weeks (just past server merge), to put these onto the list too.

Razrah -- I don't understand your comment about the RP categories.

Yours --

[RP] or [+RP] or [-RP]

Kimathia suggested --

[Non-RP] or [Semi-RP] or [High-RP] or [Full-RP]

That is four characters at most more than your selections.  I just can't see that as a "lot of space".  If a few characters are important (no idea why), then Kimathia's can be reduced to TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms) by making them:

[NRP] or [SRP] or [HRP] or [FRP]

At that point there are NO additional characters.

My feeling is that Kimathia's categories match actual guild attitudes far better than yours. (Referring, of course to the English Language Aris Guilds I am familiar with.)

I think your project is a worthy one.  May I add a request?  If the Guild has a current thread in the Guild Registry Forum, add a link to that.  Then guilds could put additional information where it could be easily accessed.

As another suggestion: Marauder Guilds will be forming (if they haven't already).  It might be worthwhile to start thinking up tags for them, Trytonists and Ranger (down the road a bit).

Hi Bitttymacod,

Thanks for your query and I have to say that I didn't explain myself that well in my short reply.
As far as I know there is a certain limit to characters per post, so I thought that every lengthly addition to describe RP or other would soon exceed my allowed character value.
I did very much appreciate Kimathia's suggestion, but I also thought to keep it short the +/-RP would do, just like the PvP. In the french forum one guild wrote +++PvP, which could easily be mentioned in the same way for RP is wished. My listings in the initial post are only my guidelines, not a rigid framework, more a hint of what to write for the guilds.

Also your two suggestions are great, but could also be mentioned in "others", so I do not have to add another new bit to it. Imagine everyone would like to have a niche part of their game to be implemented into the listing, it would soon get complicated.

If the guild has a thread in the guild registry part of the forum I gladly add the link to it... (just need to find out how ^^).

Hope it helps....

Just a shame that Sywindt moved the topic as it is now kept seperate from its original purpose.

Fail to understand why? Wouldn't this thread be better in the Guild Forum not the general?

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

The "level" of RP of a guild isn't necessary linked to the number of IC/OOC channels.
Most of the roleplayers I know (those that consider everything they do ingame to be RP, and never play OOC) speak IC on ''around'' channel only, contrary to some "casual" roleplayers I've met who don't really use any "rule" for when or where they are IC or OOC (which can lead to many misunderstandings, since they are not IC all the time).
Actually, the most hardcore roleplay guild I've ever played in hardly ever used the guild channel for RP, which never prevented guildmembers to interact IC rather than OOC on "around" channel, recrutment was full RP, characters interactions were full RP, etc... (guild chan was actually the place to "blow off some steam" and joke around OOC, since the guild RP was quite dark).

Agreed, historically this info was found in the Guild Section.
