Recently wanted to craft myself an Egiros pick... So I got everything I thought I needed.

I had already purchased the Matis Tool Crafting 1 and the Egiros Jen plan. So I crafted it with Q250 Egiros and ended up with a Q50 pick :(((((

Spoke to a few people who were just as confused as I was.

Apparently I cannot, for some reason, buy the higher Tool Crafting stanzas at the trainers. I even tried on Virg and same thing with him.... So apparently it is a Mac issue and I am supposed to log into a windows PC to buy it : / I can't do this! So it will mean I cannot craft any useful OP tools! >:( Why is it happening with Mac users + is it being fixed at all and can other Mac users purchase the other stanzas?

Hmmm...

Not a solution to your real problem, which definitely needs a bugfix, but a workaround: I will gladly craft any tool for which you have the mat. I have all plans and Tool Crafting at 5. This offer is made to any homin who finds me online. Unlike the famed tools, crafted tools are completely exchangeable.

Thank you Bitttymacod :) I know others can do it but would be nice to be able to craft my own stuff XD And its likely to disable a lot of new players from being able to also who had not already purchased it and are playing on Macs :)

Workaround

- Use another computer that runs on windows and buy the plans
- Install windows on your mac computer and buy the plans
* using bootcamp
* using virualbox
- Ask someone who uses windows machine to login your account and buy the plans
* ryzom management will not allow this but you will not resort to this if they fixed the issue on the first place
- Wait until the issue is fixed then buy the plans

ok that explains why i also cant seem to find toolcrafting higher than lvl 1 also :P

In my opinion, toolcrafting should be removed from craft trainer anyway, and put into big treppan & tree bore trainers. Too many noobs buy it thinking it is a levelable skill :(

i use windows, so not an issue for me, HOWEVER, this is a major issue for players that are on a MAC, and one that needs to be directly addressed NOW AND NOT LATER.

this bug should be of high priority, and should be on the "dev roadmap" to keep ALL players regardless of OS up to date on it's progress.

let's hope that the one dev that ryzom has can do something about this, before we start loosing MAC players, after all, most people on a windows OS don't even know what ryzom is, but since it's in the MAC store there's at least a chance that they will find ryzom.

First time i have seen this post, Thanks for bumping it up. I have a Mac too and have the same problem. I cannot make higher than a q50 tool, Please fix this!!!! :(

wasn't here for some months and marked all forums as read so first time i see it

I'm no mac user but this now is a reported bug over 3months ago and is in some aspects game breaking bug wich sould be fixed for those poor mac users.

this post probably doesn't get much replies because not many are crafters of high lvl tools, let alone even own an OP. But it is still something that needs to be spoken about and fixed so there is parity among all players and all have the same Opportunities. please, please fix this.

yes i'd have to say that it's very unfortunate that i personaly get asked if i know someone that can craft a higher then q50 tool for someone because they are on mac, most of my guild play on mac, they have to have other people, often people not in our guild, to craft the tools.

i would consider this a high priority bug that should be looked into, and sure the "fix" is to log your toon in on a windows based machine and buy the tool crafting stanza's, but that's not a fix it's a poor workaround that some can't do.

If you upgrade to client v2.1.0 this is issue is fixed. Make sure you copy the Ryzom folder as the guide suggests, though ;)
