Since I only check forums like once or twice a day, maybe I can speed up things a little bit by offering direct channels. If you like me to rush to the PC for testing something - feel free to do so.

check IG mail... (in-game mail that is) (you can use the home option on the web based forums to access your ig mail)

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

I literally over-reacted on some Ryzom settings only available via text files. Ryzom is running without hardware pointer, without hardware sound, openGL and Windowed now. So far I can not say if the problems are gone 100%, but it looks like it. Update about that tomorrow.

Update:
I did a lot of changes at once - the solution was not among it.

Ok so.... The old PC broke, I've plugged it in once too many. Never mess with static electricity.
I have no way to play Ryzom at the moment, I can just log in and enjoy seeing it hang.
I'm not gonna pay for something I can not use, and I'd like to go on where I left the game as soon as that is possible again.
For now my only question is: What happens to my toon(s) when I stop paying?

You might want to back-up your Ryzom folder though, or at least the files in your Save subfolder.
