My first char on Atys was as all my chars a harvester, i remember when they have lowered the kami sensitivity (2007), my master digger, was able to make the KT bar falling significantly after a few time before the changes ( starting with full KT bar, soft extraction stanzas ), once the kami sensitivity has been lowered, nothing significant even with harmfull extraction.

I remember to have sent a mail to the devs : why don't you remove it completely ? ( it was totally ironic ).

I'd really like to see the original KT coming back in game, my char is as always a harvester and would be affected.

PS : never seen the kami blast anim, even if i've been killed a few times, it was a 6000 hp blast to all homins wearing a pick in the blast zone.
Why did they have changed the KT ? Easy....too much whining.

Even nowadays, it is not hard to provoque a Kami blast with 3 or 4 kill diggers. With 6 or more intensively digging teams, even without harmful stanzas, Kami blast will occur over time. I had it several times after the merge, and much less often, before, due to less diggers at the same place most times.

Number of mats recovered is one factor contributing to count down the kami wrath variable, but premature destruction of nodes, and fast depletion of many nodes in given time will contribute even more as I remember. Full recovery of kami tolerance will be 960 minutes if I recall correctly.

seconds you mean, not minutes, that's far more hours then you think, 960/60... 16 hours, i've seen it "heal" in far less then 16 hours... just saying.

I have often seen the KT bar affected, even now, by one person working kill digs with a cp'er. I can always tell when someone else has been in an area digging hard when I get there. Back in the time just after the merge I often saw it at <~5% in Hidden Valley, Flaming Forest and Paramount Stock. I didn't like that because it was the "daytime" (Euro) diggers who would drag it down, meaning that me and the other digger on in the "early morning" couldn't dig significant number of mats without risking dying.

The current state of KT is set for a relatively large number of diggers . If we were to make it more sensitive and then get a large number of diggers it would once again have to be adjusted.

Talk -- It many not be 16hrs, but it sure as heck isn't 16minutes. It might be 9600 seconds, which would translate to 2hrs 40min. At any rate it is slow.

Kaehla I have "seen" a kami blast. If you're in it, you see nothing.

Kami tolerance bucket is 10000 (10k) mats and regen is 830 mat/hour.

thanks karu for the clear and friendly answer. seams that's close to 10 hours if it was totally wore down and i did the "rough" math right.

bittty after looking at my post i do see that i missed asking/saying maybe it's 96 minutes not 960 to regen X% of the KT. either way, it's not done super fast, but doesn't take days to regen it either.

it's been a very long time since i was zapped, and yes if you do it, you don't see anything but the mud under your face.... could be cool if there was an animation to it, but how often does it happen?

Actually, we made it happen only yesterday, in The Lost Valey near the waterhole. Didnt take very long either and was fun to "hit the ground running".

And actually, there is an animation (as Bittty pointed out), but you dont see it on yourself, you only see it, if somebody else goes down with the blast. Actually, Mikira took some screens, when i got hit and posted them on FB, if anybody is interested to see what it looks like :-)
