Well, Fyranna, I don't know anything about a Thesos massacre, apart from the one conducted by the marauders under the guidance of Akilia Ash Storm some time before the Second Swarming. What I do remember, though, is the threatening posture and attempted blackmail of New Matia by Lykos during the time Sharükos Dexton was close to death. I dare to say that I played a part in not only helping to solve the problem when spurred on Fyros wielding their weapons came to the Majestic Garden and our Karan Yrkanis saved the day, but also in saving the Sharükos' life. If that is the sign of an "evil" gouvernment I feel proud to have been part of it for many years - in fact since the time the Chamber of Nobles was re-erected. My resignment from the Chamber has only to do with recent developments, not with the politics under the great Yrkanis' guidance. I feel honored that I was near him when he fought the Kitin General during the Exodus and gave his life to save us all.

As for the Awakened Astarth - I'd say that the Matis really should not be chastised for supposed lack of tact by someone who obviously has only read about something like tact, but doesn't exactly know what it is: It's a case of the pot calling the kettle black. If that is a display of the famed Zorai wisdom, I should be worried indeed.

OOC: Well, here we have the complicated situation of the three servers having a different history. I'm sorry I had to address that as I did above, but then Leanon's past has the Matis invading nothing at all, but a firehead Fyros then supposed to poisoning his father and trying to provoke a war. ;)

Yes, indeed we have this complicated situation, and we all should be reluctant to use controversial parts of that conflicting history against homins from different traditions. Fyranna should indeed consider that. Distorting Leanon history is not helpful anyway.

The assertion that Sharümal Lykos was suspected to poison his father cannot be further from truth than anything else. Nobody in the desert, the lakes, or the theocracy ever uttered such suspicion. Possibly some Matis extremists were spreading that rumour in an attempt to slander the imperial family. In fact, on Leanon it was proven later that extremists from the Matis high nobility had started terrorist attacks in both Yrkanis and Pyr in order to stir up unrest and to provoque a war. And there was a stupid fanatic ex-soldier from my desert homeland who indeed started a military provocation with a band of armed drunkards at that time, a provocation Karan Yrkanis wisely stopped without bloodshed.

OOC:and there goes another reason why uniting under this circumstances and frogetting the nation and faction tags, we have conflicting stories, and while you didnt have the historic prejudices, we did so on arispotle, i did posted a reasonable solution, which is to invite representatives of the four nations, and you can still limit the event as much as you like to whom you like with a little exception on the plot. i still dont see a reason why not to do this being as easy as it is to accept even from the most stubborn RP point of view.

Now you can choose to roleplay as you like, and normally it wouldnt be a problem to do a national or faction RP event, yet i feel we have all pushed rangers to be translucent about their plans regarding the kitin solution and as such quid pro quo is in order, we couldve all chosen to go our separate ways and do it privately and secretly (and that was my oppinion at first) yet that wasnt the case, this an RP plot we all contributed to.

Let's get this straight. I'm NOT distorting Leanons history, as it no longer exist. The event past i talk about happened on Arispotle. The Server now called Atys. Not Leanon. Nobody is distorting your History. Get your facts straight!

You know salazar you still havent adressed to any of the issues i have stated, and keep on the insult path conceiling it as argument, and furthermore, even provided with a sensible solution you cant answer.

Yes, ok, the massacre at Thesos didn't exist in this stream of timeline. But the representative of the Matis people, Sterga Hamla, does, and keeps deceiving homins who know no better. If he is not an examplary Matis Representative, then have him resign and put someone else in his place. But as Chiang the Strong says when you want to leave the island without doing anything for the people of Silan, "Go and introduce yourself to the Representaives of the 4 nations"

You can't just say "Oh he isn't the best example of the matis ppl..." etc etc.

Silan is the first place. The place of first impressions. I believe Sterga Hamla is the perfect representative of the trickster Matis.

You learn very early on that when a Matis says one thing he will surely mean another! If Sterga Hamla's action offend you and you nobles, have him replaced! I know that the Zoraï, the Fyros and the Trykers are represented properly. Why wouldn't the Matis be as well?

I consider to work out and suggest a modification of this quest sequence on Silan which is presenting a flawed picture of Matis and is likely to abhor players from choosing Matis characters. [/ooc]

hmm reworking silan won't change the history I've been told for years and not for anyone that has been playing for years. All you will end up with is even more discussion about ppl that learned the old official lore and ppl that learn your new non official lore.

Don't forget that you have an Event(OOC) part of the forum for the OOC discussions about event, and please avoid strange melting pots like these (huh, again cooking metaphor ?!)

be as it's not every going to be occ or hrp tag's for me, you'll have to forgive my styles of mixing rp and none rp, but....

one fact we can all agree on, the matis have a history on all servers based on the original story line of the game, not player based stuff, while we merged the 3 servers, we can't merge the 3 histories, that being said, it's time to do one of two things, find a way to put all three histories together (all but impossible), or go back to the old basic story of ryzom from the days of old, and restart from there, just remember to include the new content that's been added to the actual game play, not just a bunch of words that didn't lead to anything real and tangible in the game world. (meaning we can use it, interact with it, or it's now a part of everyday content we use and play.)

there for the only real role play that should be added to the old book, is that roleplay that added ingame content we have now, and all other should be "wiped clean" (that can all be done again for the first time on the new single server, thus everyone can take part in all the old history of each server together as we make it the NEW history. we all have to come to live with the fact that we're all on atys together, and we all play the same game, let's make it so we call can.

if roleplay doesn't lead to real content, it's simply story or words to pass time, if the roleplay leads to ingame content, then it's now a part of the game forever and can't be changed. if you look at it this way, you'll see that most of the roleplay is something that we don't all have to take part in, but some roleplay can lead to new things we can all enjoy, weather we rp or not.

btw, i want to have 100 fame with everyone, so i want the ability to ware all titles and be a true citizen of atys, and enlightened to be above the petty differences we all have, but the powers that be won't allow it, i'm forced to do the best i can, without reward for trying to love every homin regardless of civilization or religion, or a lack there of in the case of marauders, because to truely be for all of homin kind, you must not let anything a homin chooses to believe in or be a part of stop you from being good to that homin or trying to help ANY homin that's in need, without first checking to see if they are marauder, kami, karavan, matis, tryker, fryos, or zorai, becasue to truely be "enlightened" you must live this kind of life.
