I've just (re)released my inventory tool, which allows access to and filtering of all your inventories (bag, apartment, …). It runs in the browser (and thus on all modern platforms) and uses JavaScript to provide a responsive experience. This does, however, mean that it will not work in Ryzom's own browser.



It allows filtering items by name, quality, grade, use in crafting, racial origin, and if you come up with more meaningful filters, those as well. Said filtering happens while you type and thus provides instant feedback. This can be turned off, however, in case you're using an old computer or have ridiculously many items.

Personally I've found great use for the tool while out digging, to check what and how many mats I already have where.

If I remember correctly, zyRoom has a similar feature, but personally I found mine easier to use for quick lookups, and it works on all platforms.

The UI may still be a bit rough around the edges. I originally released the tool before the merge, and it was mostly only used by myself, as well as a few guildies. If you have any suggestions or improvements, let me know.

will this allow the user to use more then just the players inventories? meaning guild hall. is it limited to only the single toon, or could we use this to view inventories of other toons at the same time? (so i could see my own inventories AND my alt's invetories?)

I haven't looked into the guild APIs yet, but regarding multiple toons: I can make that work if there's a desire for that.

oh yes, i think that would make your app very popular very fast, the other app for android os's allows that feature, but lacks the searching and filtering that you offer, allowing guilds and multi-toon look-ups would make this the #1 app for out of game use.

Alright, I just took a look at the guild API and adding support for guild halls should be trivial.

I'll implement that, as well as support for multiple toons tomorrow. I'll also add a way to save API keys, so one doesn't need to constantly enter them again.

anytime, and thank you for the hard work on this, it's the fact that players do things like this that makes ryzom far better then the other mmo's out there, we really love our game and all try to do our part to make it better for everyone :)
