There are creatures in the game that drop meat for quest, but these monsters are only ones that provide useless and heavy loot that clutters up the bag without any need for it.
Seriously, after fighting them, I have to manually remove this meat, or pick up everything but useless meat.
Other creatures do not force you to do anything like this, it is very similar to bug.

my advice: don't make ideas base solely on the starter island, your looking at 3% of what ryzom has to offer, ONLY in silan are there goo infected mobs that drop contaminated meat, so it's not an issue at all in the other 97% of the game. it's also part of the story line there in silan.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.
