I go away for aa little while to rest my soul and I come back to this news. I had no idea that the same soul activated both of them, but I will miss both Teeneemai and Arionasis.

Much of what I might have said, Meggy said for me in a post earlier. My heart is sore.

When i tried desperately to champion the interest of the Deserters of the ruins, oldtimers and newcomers, after Psygnosis, our GL ceased to occasionally appear online, it was among others and even above all else via Arionasis that i allowed myself to hope that eventually the guild would have a GL regent and a successor named and have a home city and GH.

Arionasis proved a very welcome and competent advisor for me,a rather new newcomer to ryzom, yet charged with being HO to this time honored guild.

His open ear for my inquiries and entreaties, his attention and understanding coupled with a goodly portion of tolerance of my attempts at humorous commentary have helped me not to give up hope for the guild....

i shall miss that crucial aid and the aider giving it. My heart goes out to the family and friends wherever and whoever they may be.

I was so sad to hear the news of GM Arionasis' passing. He was such a key part of the support team and he invested a lot of time working on support tickets and related tasks. He also provided a great in-depth knowledge of the game and the technical challenges the game amply provides at times.

But most of all he was a friendly face ingame and any newly arrived player had a special place in his heart and he cared deeply for their experience of the game, striving to give them a good start on their Ryzom journey.

My deepest sympathies goes to his family and his friends in the community.

Although I haven't been in-game much as of late, my heart is heavy to hear of Teeneemai's passing. He was truly a kind, welcoming online presence in Ryzom to both old and new toons alike.

I already posted here but another thing is in my mind after the ceremony.  

The thing about Atys, Ryzom, playing this game is that you can get to know someone, without knowing anything about them IRL.  When you spend time here you get to know people in a different way.  When we talk about our friends in the game, sometimes people laugh because how can you be friends without actually meeting IRL.  I know some of you have met IRL and thats great.  There's something different about ingame friends and as time goes on I find that I value these friends as much as any friend I have.

I realised that I did not know if Arionasis was man or woman, black or white, straight or gay.  I also realised that it does not matter.  We were friends.  It feels like an advantage that we can make friends here without any preconceptions, any assumptions, any prejudice.
