I'm interested in playing, but I was wondering about the server population. I understand that this game isn't what you would call popular. Can anyone tell me if the game seems dead. I've played for only about five minutes so far.

Welcome, Synthetic

True there are not as many players as some MMOs, but we prefer to think of it as a discerning few who like this game. There is a lot more to it than other MMOs. It is more than just Hack'n'Slash and you can't finish it - it is open-ended.

A small player base does not mean the game is dead - in the past few months we have had at least six new in-game events, three of which are long term and still on-going.

There is always someone online who can help you with any questions or team up for missions etc. If not, there is plenty to keep you occupied. The animals - predators and herbivores (many types of each) - move across the landscape in different ways at different times of the year. We have seasons on the Mainland.

There is plenty to explore. The Mainland is much, much bigger than Silan, the training area. The Forest region alone is a rough 'T' shape 14 by 10 kilometers, and there are Desert, Lakeland and Jungle regions as well as the Prime Roots (underground). I have been playing for nearly 3 years and there are places I haven't been to yet, and exploring is my thing.

Play for a while, make friends and see how you like it. I look forwards to seeing you in-game.

It's bad luck to be superstitious . . .

I am a relatively new player and I do not think the game seems dead. I found a very nice guild and there are always several mates online when I am on. I played before back in 2007 but the game shutdown before I could get deep into it.

Silan was fairly well populated when I was there a few weeks ago, but perhaps it depends on the time of day? I finished all of the missions on Silan and teleported to Pyr. There are always quite a few people nearby when I play.

Welcome!

The number of players on at any given time may also vary depending on your timezone. Historically there are lots of European and American players here, but there are also a few ahead of gmt by a few hours. There's the odd Russian and Aussie player, and I even ran into a Japanese player some time ago.

Well, all I really wanted to post is: Welcome! :)

indeed, there are a few of us on at any time, more some time then others, once you complete silan then you'll find a larger player base on the ml. we can always use more, and WELCOME TO THE BIG TREE!!
