Atys Travelling Market:

After the second great swarming hominity was shaken, cities destroyed, where once was plenty now was scarce, merchant’s survival was grim, some took advantage trading at excessive prices, others just under selling goods to get ahead of the competition.

Then commerce was restored, the old stores reopened and trade was back, yet some homins saw that the cities afar from the capitals were getting impoverished, no trade was getting to them, and the best items of atys weren’t flowing due to some restrictions imposed on vendors.

It was in this point where a group of adventurous merchants and crafters decided to take upon themselves to visit the non capital cities and provide them with the finest wares and materials from all over atys.

As Cookies we are very pleased to invite you to the first post Kitin Swarm Player Market of Atys to be held on Saturday, 11 January 2014 20:00:00 UTC (1 decade ago)
Bring your crafts, craft skills, materials, catalizers or anything you can sell (doesn't necessarily have to be items, there’s plenty to be creative with).

Our first Atys Travelling Market will be held in the city of Dyron, and it will be changing each time, as explained above this is a Fair for those non capital cities.

We encourage you to use only dappers if possible, but of course trade is between players so this is a modest suggestion.

A few rules we like to point out for those who join us on this.:

1- You can sell any items you can trade, however remember to keep fair prices or restrain from any kind of behaviour that could be unfair advantage or abuse

2- The advertising system is via shouts (/y) and only 2 lines on the screen, that can be typed/macroed every 30 seconds (to avoid clutter and spam, the idea is that everyone can see what the players are selling)... so you have to be creative to get customers!

3- The place will be defined by the Cookies event team in advance one week prior to the event

4- Remember to be respectful to other players and offers,furthermore no advertisement can be made that makes reference to other player’s prices or adds

5- Sales aren't restricted to items, they can be craft services, trek services,etc, we support duel competition and bets regarding it, but its up to the players to decide a place outside the market location to make this happen.

6- As previously said, we encourage the attendants to use only dappers in the transactions, however its up to the players to bargain and decide prices or if the prices are to be paid in mats, crafts, dappers, etc.

i'd like to suggest we do it outside of a city, so that IF marauders want to come they can, as cookies we want to include everyone, regardless of in game politics, religion, or the lack of either.

please note that as cookies we try to translate everything into the 3 major spoken languages of the game, english, french, german.

any other thoughts or ideas are welcome.

Will it be a traveling caravan, pedlars, selling their crafts from city to city and taking their packers alongside them? Possibly covering 2 towns, each from different regions, on the first outing? Or an appearance in one town, with a different town each time/day?

sure bina, you don't have to be a cookie to come and take part in this event, that's the best part of cookies, anyone can offer us ideas, and anyone can join us in any event we put on, we're here for the players, not the politics or the like. cookies is multi-national, multi-religious, or none of the above (mara's) group, where everyone works together to have a good time, we have RP members, and a little of everything, because for cookies it's about the full fun of the game they way it was ment to be, we put the sandbox back into ryzom, for the players that can do their RP, but still have a good time with everyone.

so please polish up that crystal ball and come on down, we'd love to have you there.

(cookies is a group, anyone can join, and you don't have to leave your guild or faction to do it, just have an open mind and be willing to have fun with everyone)

postponed until after the new year, there will be a lot of official events to try to stay out of the way of, and since they are making fun things for us to do, we'll wait to pick up the slack after the holiday season.
