my favourite trek method is the just-keep-on-running 'as the crow flies' method... granted, it's pretty useless for noobs with a sensitive panic button but it can work if the noob has been briefed prior to setting off.
me and bina trekked me to get tp's not too long back using this method... spam healing each other constantly, we at one point had two KP on our tail... the mantra of "never stop moving" is the key :P
our record for this method is three toons with a total of 24 aggro mobs running after us :D
let be known that i am not of sound mind to deal out useful tips and strategies.

Consider how lucky you are that life has been good to you so far. Alternatively, if life hasn't been good to you so far, which given your current circumstances seems more likely, consider how lucky you are that it won't be troubling you much longer.”
