1 Groupe Lore

1.1 Travail sur la Lore privée et publications à venir

Nous voulons progressivement ouvrir la Lore aux joueurs. En effet, bien qu'il soit normal d'en garder une partie secrète, une grande partie de ce qui devrait être connu de vos avatars ne l'est pas. Par exemple, que sont sensés savoir vos avatars sur la goo, les kitins, le feu ?

Ce manque d'information est un frein au RP  et une fenêtre ouverte sur les dérives loresques, car les joueurs en manque d'information sur la Lore finissent par l'inventer eux-mêmes.

C'est pourquoi Bepock et Gorias travaillent à l'écriture d'un glossaire abordant un à un les thèmes de la Lore. Chaque thème sera décliné en trois versions : une version ultra-privée à l'usage exclusif du groupe Lore ; une version interne à l'usage de l'équipe d'animation, qui comportera les éléments de Lore à porter à la connaissance des joueurs au fil des events ; et une version publique destinée aux joueurs.

Q:  Une proposition, que je suis sûre que vous allez corriger : SVP, assurez-vous que la Lore soit à jour. Pour l'instant, elle dit toujours qu'Yrkanis est roi", et c'est à peine si on trouve une mention du second grand essaim, etc.
R: C'est prévu, mais c'est un travail très long, aussi Bepock et Gorias commencent-ils par les thèmes qui serviront aussi aux créateurs de rites et de missions. De plus, les mises à jour de la Lore publique (comme un changement de roi) peuvent sans souci être faites par des joueurs sur le Wiki Lore. Ce wiki est officialo-collaboratif.

Q: Les morceaux de Lore dévoilés le seront-ils de manière RP ? Plus précisément, est-ce que les informations devront être considérées comme connaissance nouvelles par nos avatars, ou bien juste une régularisation de ce qu'ils devraient déjà savoir ?
R: Tout dépend lesquelles. Ce qui sera sur la Lore publique est sensé être connu de vos avatars (selon leur nation ou faction, parfois). Ce qui sera dévoilé en events seront des connaissances nouvelles. Le but est que les joueurs sachent plus facilement comment interpréter leur avatar et créer leurs events joueurs sans diverger de la Lore.

Q:  Qu'en est-il des histoires fictives, comme la création de guildes connues, ou ce genre de choses ? Comment le vérifier ?
R: Si des joueurs veulent faire valider leur histoire de guilde ou l'histoire de leur avatar, il suffit de nous le demander et nous regarderons quand nous pourrons. Une fois validé, le texte portera le tampon" validé Lore", ce qui en fera une part intégrante de la Lore officielle de Ryzom. Quant aux textes sans demande de validation, ils ne sont pas liés à la Lore officielle mais pourraient être vus comme des légendes homines.

2- Event Group

2.1 Event sequences in preparation

 A long sequence is planned to last for at least one year is being prepared for each nation. These four main sequences won't start all at the same time and will stretch over time :
- A Fyros sequence, which has just started. This sequence, as the other ones, will share its lot of surprises, but of course I won't tell you more!
-A Matis/Karas sequence, which includes (but not only) the botanic sequence and the one about the kitins study. These ones, already started, will restart and continue on a regular rythme.
-A Tryker/Ranger sequence (which still needs a lore adjustment before being started).
- A Zorai/Kamist sequence. This new sequence needs a big work on the development side, so she'll probably be the last one to start.
-The marauders will of course interact with the other sequences, and a marauder sequence is also planned for later.

Q:  1 trimestre for each nation? Or it's open to all?
A: The Event Team hasn't planned the alternating rythme of the sequences yet.

Q: Parts very different ones from anothers then, for RP players it won't be possible to take part in all of them.
A: Everyone will see according to his/her RP which sequences it is logical for him/her to attend.

Q:  It means that the sequences will actually not last 1 year for everyone?
A: Each sequence will last at least 1 year, so a player wanting to follow only one sequence will have at least one year of events. I cannot be more precise because the planning will be made bit by bit, in order to take the needs of the game into account.

Q: Are there events between homins planned? I'm explaining, some time ago (unofficial) weddings took place on Atys, it was a RP part which seemed to be very important for lots of people on the Bark.
A: It's still the case. The Event Team is still available for players wanting to celebrate RP weddings. They can also create a scenery if requested.

Q: it is for the Davae nemus event for this i have a smal question:  it was said that this would build up the enclosure automatically, but it is now about 2 months. The last 2 lines of the fences are missing. Is there something not running in automatic construction? A: The fence will be added by the Animators by hand.


2.2 OOC player revent made by La Firme

Zakkk: We've prepared, with the help of quite a lots of people, a one week fully OOC event. I've used a lot of the help of the Event andLeveldesign teams to create and test on the Yubo server a small series of micro-events. It should take place at the AValae's market. They are small events prepared  between us in the guild. You won't find any RP part in them, just events to have fun. And we're waiting for a feedback from Tamarea and the teams.

3.1 Fixing of the recent instability on the "Yubo" test server
A RAID hard-drive broke, which explains the test server big instability in the last time. It should be replaced by OVH next week. Replace of the HDD is done last week, now the raid must be repaired  himself that would need round 6/7 days from today.

Q: Embarrassing question: how many raid discs have broken? The problem is when you've got 2 at the same time...
A: It doesn't seem to be the case. But resynchronizartion is very slow. So we'll have to wait.


3.2 : Dev project allowing to use any 3D tool without using 3DSmax
Kaetemi's project has been validated by Winch Gate, an agreement remains to be found with him on the prices.

Q: Is there anything new regarding the new zone?
A: YannK: It's a bit late for me but I can answer you during day hours, if you want.


3 Call of YannK
i'd have a call to launch:  We'd need people knowing how to prepare Linux packts. Nimetu is making already a lot of them, but we're missing someone to make .deb for Debian Sid (it's for me, I've got to admit). So if people knowing how to create packages want to help, it would be to allow an easiest access to Ryzom Core tools (RC Studio especially).

4 Infography Group

4.1 Preparing ready to use items packs, to be put at the disposal of missions designers
When Ark will be open to all players, it should be as practical as possible. That's why we have the project of preparing ready-to-use item packs, in which mission designers will be able to select the ones they need.

4.2 Creating the cities banners
The tryker players have chosen the final version of the flags for their cities at the las Taliari assembly. It's now again time for the infographists to work! Here are the decisions made by the players for the tryker flags:
- Windermeer: the players chose the symbol of Remigra on the flag design of Osquallo.
- Cristabell: the players chose the current one made by Remigra.
- Avendale: the players chose Osquallo's proposal (without the flence).
- Fairhaven: the players chose Osquallo's proposal (the blue flag with the white symbol).
Shape to use for all these flags: Osquallo's one.

Q: I've seen that some cities had already defined their banners, when will we be doing it for the Kingdom?
A: At the next Court of the Karae.
