A letter gets delivered to the Assembly of Nobles in Yrkanis. Copies of it reach the Town Assemblys in Avalae, Davae and Natae:

Respected Filira,

as it is already known to those members of the assembly who have attended the meeting of the Akenak in Pyr recently, the elected representatives of the desert tribes have failed by intervention of the Sharükos to install a law which would have sanctioned the occupation and keeping of the outposts in Fyros through Imperial authority. The Treaty of the Four Nations who puts the management of the outposts quite clearly beyond the control of the governments of the countries would have been broken by this law.

This signatory's protest against that new law was commented by the Akenak's speaker Icus with the remark, "Again, the Matis are irrevelant and completely stupid but it's in (their) nature so we can't do anything against it". On a personal level, insults of comparable simplicity would not trouble the signatory as a rule; yet in this case, on an official assembly and from the mouth of the speaker of the Akenak to a Filira Matia it is a purposeful duping of the Assembly of Nobles and our whole people. This should, this can not be condoned.

I recommend to the Assembly of Nobles to summon the newly elected Fyros ambassador Arrlon and to hand over to him a note of protest to forward to the Sharükos and the Akenak in which a public excuse is required.

Jena Aiye, Matia Aiye.
