IDEAS FOR RYZOM

Suggestion:

Overseer npc asks for race-names of crafted items but the action progression screen and the crafter trainer screen descriptions only show the "english name" (Matis Axe Plan Basic Quality) not the race-name (Haque axe) you only get to see "Haque axe" after you already buy the stanza (so if you buy the wrong stanza, points are gone)

So my suggestion is, add the "race name" Haque axe, to the description.

might be better to have the quest giver next to the craft trainer and have it auto open the trainer to sell you the proper stanza if you can buy it.

I'd be okay with descriptions at least, I advocate making the player do some work too... but not having to buy wildly till they get the right plan, or use google and BM site because the game is missing the info

I think this would be a good idea to implement, it doesn't make sense not to be able to see the proper name of the item created by a craft plan until you have bought it.

Imagine this:
Neela - "Hello Mr can I buy a plan for making a spade please?"
Trainer - "I have this plan here for a digging implement."
Neela - "Is that a spade?"
Trainer - "Buy it and find out."
Neela buys the plan and studies it "Aww no it's a pick!". Glares at the trainer, "why can't you call a spade a spade?!"

Joking aside, I can defintely see where this would be annoying for new players, particularly if they've never used Google. Honest they do exist!

I'm pretty sure having the craft trainer auto open is a lot more work than just adding the race name to the description. The description is data, auto opening would require programming.

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

It's bad luck to be superstitious . . .

Lol, That was hilarious!
Might want to add: "I want a refund!" and make Trainers be able to refund you for plans bought that were wrong!
On a side thought, You are a good story teller Nelaa, you should write more! :)

Aww thanks. I actually did for a while on the old World of Ryzom forums when I was a member of TNE. My old partner in crime, Doc, and I had 2 parallel IC stories running, each from our character's perspective, that interwove a story. Was fun but it lapsed after we left TNE and then he left Ryzom. Maybe I'll do another someday.

There is a nice chart of what all the fancy words really mean here:

There are several pages, but the criticism is there is no way of telling without those. namea made a good point there, a player would have to try and spend MANY points. While other areas of the game make sense with some secrets, like forage spots, here it doesn't imho.
