IDEAS FOR RYZOM

Imo, the changing of gear and jewels needs updating.

My suggestion:

1. Jewelry boxes - Each box takes up one space in storage but has whatever weight the combined jewelry would have.

Boxes can be named for player's organization aid.

Use - Open a box. Place a jewelry set within. Close box. That is now a jewelry "set". Right click the box and choose "wear set" from list to put on all the jewels in the box with that click. Or, open box and right click, choose "put set away" to take all jewelry off and load the box with that click.

2. Outfits, the same way. Have a tab on bag named "closet". In the closet, have "shelves" for outfits that the player can quick change into the same as the jewelry boxes.

Closets only available in apartments.

I put them both together because I assume the mechanics are basically the same for both things.

It may not exactly answer your question, but do you know the groups functions? See this topic for more information. It's not really a jewel box (you can't see it in your inventory) but it can be mostly used as what you seem to describe.

Yeah.

I'm aware of the groups and those are nice, except you have to remake them every time you change a piece or part.

But if items could be tagged by the owner or at creation, then the /naked command would send them all to their proper container.

And to equip them would be a right click and "equip" from the menu.

And you don't have an inventory spammed with various sets of armor and jewelry. Just some boxes that take up one slot apiece.

I created a macro, to update them

And you still have to transfer the items, one by one, into whichever mule or room you want to put them in.

Instead of just having to do one transfer of a bag or box filled with the items automatically when you do the /naked.

And even if you don't transfer them to storage, you have a bag with many slots taken up by jewels which could all fit in one box or bag inside your storage.

A box for focus jewels. A box for Sap jewels. A box for HP jewels. Etc.

Or a personal storage filled with all sorts of individual jewels.

Same for armors.

If in an apartment, and you hit the /naked command, all the armor you're wearing is removed and put into it's proper closet shelf. Skip the character's bag entirely. And to equip your desired set, right click on the closet shelf and click "equip".

2 clicks. done. Full armor change. and your inventory isn't spammed by all your armor variations.

the shelves could still count towards overall storage limits. Same as the jewelry boxes. So, this isn't a back door attempt at more storage.

Just a desire to cut down all the fussy aspects of it.
