IDEAS FOR RYZOM

To my mind, the nation point system has always unduly penalized those who place no nation over any other for RPing a character who feels that all four nations are equally worthy of respect (Ranger) or conquest (Marauder). Not as badly as the previous system where NH gave Rangers only 25% of the points of a +100 Fame toon (possibly only with alignment, of course) instead of the ~40% it is now (though with a far lower fame requirement for aligned toons; no longer any need to grind to +100), but enough to make it feel like the game was subtly biased against Rangers. And Marauders have it even worse, as they always have. Being Ranger/Marauder takes a fair bit more effort than simply grinding 10-50 points in one race fame and paying a few dappers to take a simple quiz, and game mechanics should not penalize those who put in that extra effort; they should treat them as at least equal, including equal access to the items that only nation points can buy.

So I propose that we add NPCs in Almati Woods and the Marauder camp that offer similar tour/prospector missions to those offered by the four nations, along with matching merchants. Of course, some alterations would need to be made to account for the fact that those factions are mostly high-level toons who travel to all regions of Atys, but we can save the details for after we decide whether we even like the concept.

Thoughts? Opinions? Refinements? Lets talk!

Do not assume that you speak for all just because you are the loudest voice; there are many who disagree that simply have no desire to waste words on you.

Hi, rewards on delivery tours are going to change, and the gap between civ/non-civ strongly reduced.

First steps of each missions will reward better also (in case you don't want to do all).

Does that reward adjustment also include the Prospector missions?

No it won't, as hardly anybody do these missions and it's long job to change them. We prefer focusing on other developments.
