IDEAS FOR RYZOM

.... They could therefore no longer be able to add items to the apartment inventory until they re-subscribe.

Isn't it how it works today? Or did it change?

Giving more power to free to play isn't good in my opinion.
Unless we base our business model on something else, like buying items (p2w) or custom skins.

f2p can't add or withdraw on their appartment's inventory.

what item can you get form a empty inventory?
returning players would re-subscribe quickly, anyway.

#5 [en]

I think unsubscribed f2p characters can withdraw from apartment and packers or was it just packers?

F2p who never subscribed before has nothing in apartment anyway, thats true.

as f2p, you get full access to a mount (no packers at all), can buy a appartment (but not put/get anything from/to it), and put stuff on GH (but no withdraw).

I don't think there is difference between "always-been f2p" and old "once-subbed" player, if we except his inventory unavailable (but not lost)

#7 [en]

Subscriptions only offer two real benefits of note, one of them being the vastly increased storage space. Take that away and you take away much of the value of subscription, especially given how much fun one can have as F2P.

Do not assume that you speak for all just because you are the loudest voice; there are many who disagree that simply have no desire to waste words on you.

I am unable to test it now but I am sure we did test this before usubscribed access was introduced. And by me you can withdraw your items from apartment and packers.

Also, there are some minor differences between pure f2p and unsubscibed f2p - as unsubscibed you can still use PR specialization in your digging for example (I tihnk you are limited in skills with level 150 - of course you had to have learned those skills before as subscribed) while pure f2p is unable to even learn skills > lvl 125.

I know only the limits for never subscribed f2p.
I can't see why it would be any difference between pure f2p and ended-sub on this, but I can't test either.

AFAIK the reason with skills is that in both cases the character is limited by level/quality 150. That means is not able to use items/skills > 150. With some exceptions like crystals. Just never subscribed f2p character was never able to learn anything > level 125.

One of my subscriptions has ended recently so I can tell you that being unsubscribed, I can:
* withdraw items from apartment inventory
* withdraw items from packer inventories

And I am unable to:
* deposit items in apartment inventory
* deposit items in packer inventories

ty for reporting that, Moniq. Apparently i have been under a false impression of the former subbers' plight with respect to personally owned storage capacities.
That said, surely it would be in keeping with the such convention regarding personally owned storage to allow a guild's f2p HO to retrieve out of the GH?

Inability of said f2p HO to deposit into the GH storage ought to suffice to keep subbing clearly advantageous to f2p for such players.

F2p HO players may even feel of themselves then inclined to begin subbing as soon as that become possible to them in order to (re)gain the ability to place things into GH. The guild, in the meanwhile, could at least be able to provide the contents of its GH to its members more often then their subbing HO or GL be online.

I sincerely believe that ryzom very much stands to gain in attractiveness to newcomers and to returning oldtimers alike by so aiding such guilds as be yet lacking in HO players who already can and do sub.
