I appreciate the change of mood after your edit, thank you !
I'm also a customer/player who just became volunteer among others. Many times the aggressive words on forum toward "staff" cut me the will to step in ! ( And no one asked me to do it ).

I think too that crafting missions have yet to be tweaked. Let's wait because the priority concern seems not that, but the way to get crystal sap.

The wheel wasn't at all part of a plan to strip you dappers before something. It's just the new general reward for OOC content.

Involvement will be the main mechanism for IC rewards. For the moment you can get them only with kitin DynE but it will expand, as well as the list of rewards with that. So eventually you won't be forced to do OOC events neither buy tokens to get nice things. The fact is that wheel was there first.

Ways to get CS, tweaking standard NPC missions (which recent changes seem to receive also positive feedbacks) and reevaluating the occupations interest ; are topics being discussed at the moment.

An announcement will be made (we wait about translations)

Here the English version:

The Ryzom team has recently started a series of game-play modifications to highlight any possible improvements of the game's 11,000 missions.

1 - [COMPLETED] Decrease in the gains obtained via the "New Horizons" missions (Dappers, Nation Points, Fame), which are too advantageous and make other classic missions meaningless.
2 - [COMPLETED] Increase in the gains from the game's 11,000 classic missions (Dappers & Fame) to make them more attractive.
3 - [TESTING] Various balancing of classic missions:

- Reduction of the loss of reputation per mission for non-marauders.

- Addition of a maximum limit of fame that can be won or lost per mission.

- Correction of waiting times to resume a completed mission.

- Enhancement of classic craft missions.

4 - [TO BE COMPLETED] Addition of an information "Where is... ?", allowing players to know where a mission NPC is at a given moment, including Patrolling or wandering NPC's.
5 - [TO BE COMPLETED] Addition of "Daily Missions": A series of missions (classic and from occupations) to be carried out before choosing your rewards (Dappers, Nation Points, New Implications, Tokens). [More info SOON.]

In order to balance the situation, the Ryzom team will also make changes to upgrade the "camp tour" missions (Dappers, Nation Points):
[Being Tested] Decrease in the weight of a package, in order to be able to carry out the mission without a Mektoub.
[Being Tested] Increase in gains in the lower zones.

In addition, the occupations, previously used for "New Horizons" missions, are being promoted again within the "Daily Missions" which, we hope, will contribute to improve your gaming experience.

Like that you can simply located every NPC and you do not have to look for them?

#72 Report | Quote[fr]

Not exactly, you will ask a Npc where is your Target Npc.
If the Target are not in same region, will say in what region where is (most of the time the mission gives you the information too)

If the Target are in the same region, the Npc will give you information where found it. Something like
"Walk at the north-est to find them"
"I have see it at West"
"I'm not sure, sometimes he walk at South"
"You are very close, look at this direction..."

But nothing added to radar or map

We are doing the final tests about missions changes. Patch is coming!

We have added a new little feature for "Craft some, Give some" instead of "Craft all, Give all."

Cool, looks like that will help with those high bulk crafts :)

Not in favor of this change. There's enough spoon-feeding in game. As it is, this encourages cooperative efforts by guild or group to "map" the wandering NPC locations each of which I would say average 4 separate locations, once known, it's not a big deal to find them. To me this is akin to a message board in each capital where one can do a "where is ?" for all named / bosses, exe / sup resource spots. The 'hunt" is part of what makes these missions enjoyable.

Spoon-feeding would have been to point the NPC position directly in the compass. But it won't work like this.

What is planed is allowing you to talk to a NPC you meet, and ask him where is another. Something very IC.
The accuracy of the response will vary. But you'll be able to ask other NPCs on the way.
The more you get closer, the accurate the answers.

This might even be more efficient than BM, for wandering NPC or those who change place according to seasons.

Thank you for clarification, the above short note makes it sound completely different. The word of mouth solution should work nicely.

I really like this! I know some will disagree, but I don't think running around, combing the entire zone for 20 minutes trying to find a bunch of wandering NPCs, all of it just because certain individuals are incapable of comprehending that shooting launchers at an OP war when a tribe is passing through is not the best idea, is everything but fun. And aren't games supposed to be fun? There's a difference between spoonfeeding and forcing the player to do arbitrary tasks. Being told the general direction and not the exact location is a great compromise.

I don't understand the correlation between those 2 points.
May my mathematics a bit rusty, can you explain?

Imagine this scenario. You have barely enough fame with a tribe to be able to take Welcomer missions. An OP war happens, people shoot the tribe, tanking your fame by 20 points (yes, this has actually happened to me). Now you can't take Welcomer missions anymore and you are left with Scouts/Journeymen to raise your fame. But those guys tend to wander around a lot, so you have to look for them over the entire zone, unless you happen to know all of their spots (and BM doesn't have all the data, either). That, at least to me personally, is very annoying. Being able to cut down the search time by a bit sounds really nice.
