If you are haviing a graphics issue and dont see colors or all white it is an easy fix.. (believe me I did it)

Open the Ryzom file on your computer, open the ryzom_configuration_qt_r file.
Open "Display" and change yours to Direct3D. Then boot from the bottom right button back to the game.

I LOVE color :)

worked for me :)

actualy i used ryzom configuration tool to set Direct3D mode instead of Auto, but thanks for idea, Sel :)

You could also try to decrease special effects or texture quality in Configuration :)

I have had this problem for the last month or has it two months now that the great evil 3.0 patch has been messing with my computer.

I have had to go in each time (the game insists I patch with no other option) I patch.

Using Linux mine had to be changed to OpenGL from Auto. I believe there is a problem with the Auto. Somehow it is not detecting what is currently working on the computer or should be working on the computer.

I'm sorry, but you misunderstood everything...

- client 3.0 has been up since 2010 (even if not the exact version)
- your should NEVER edit client_default.cfg, you need to edit client.cfg
- Driver3D = "Auto" => is using OpenGL every time

Please what is not working ?

Where are installed you files ?
How do you launch Ryzom ?

I play Ryzom in the way it is sent to me on the internet. I am NOT a techy, I just open and play.. which I would assume I should ? Having said that for the first month I downloaded the game, there was NO color.

Now I have color on cloths etc. I just changed to direct3d.

Perhaps someone should look into why we have to do this ? And not say we cant ??
