Siela, not that it matters, but this is why i posted it :

"I see only authorized protections ... acceleration egg is not a protection ??? "

Self heal is not a protection either :P

So if you take these rules set by the devs too literally, you couldn't even use jewels or armor or dodge/parry gear. You can ONLY use protectionbuffs.
You could interprete a speed egg as an item and not a power.
I think we all agree that some rules shouldn't even be noted because they are obvious like the one that you can use jewels, armor, etc.

Having said that :

for those who are not native english speaking i can understand that they don't realy get the word "buff". Translating it into dutch gives me " to polish "  :))
So i bet there were some who thought they could use items, but not the power by itself ( like me ). Not that it matters, by using them i missed a checkpoint, so my superfast time doesn't even count... (Ouch, typical stupid me ^^)

I dont understand your opinion Bluaarbthi.. sorry but all homin have an armor and jewel, but not all the homin have accelration egg. and if the atys game is only for the player HL, i think the interest of this games is small !!!

Rules triathlon for info :
It is not allowed to use any Speedbuffs (like eggs). You are allowed to use protecting Buffs like invulnerable.

I will stop the polemic after this message.

Oops didn't read the rules for the triathlon, only the marathon.

So you made a valid point :)

Seems to me that the cheating players didn't cheat because they wanted to and all came from misunderstandings. As i recall there were no rules stated when you took on the quest.

So basicly if you didn't read the forum, you didn't know....

I'm sure the eventteam will take this with them for the next event.

I can understand if you are crossed when you think you are entitled to the victory off that particular event, realy...

But i'm sure chutluu has a point, when saying it should be stated when you take on the mission. The NPC doesn't tell you the rules and as i know Atys by know, i'm sure that some of the players whom have cheated realy didn't intend to.

We are all homins (humans) so when you see an event NPC you rush to him and take the mission, neglecting some signs and rush into the mission... I can understand not everyone reading signs....

Also i would state i don't consider all off these players as cheaters, except these ones who used some programming or whatever to place themselves in first place with ridiculous times, and were intentionaly cheating. That was the reason i posted something on the forum in the first place. ( check it i've been playing for a while, but you won't see much entries from me ;) ) ...see next post, can't type more ingame :)))

there we are .... :)

I see evidence in that fact that those players renounced their results.
If you want to get the reward you think you are entitled to, you will find in me ,and i bet great parts of the community, a defender in your case. I think the event team is mature and wise enough to take this in consideration.

But heck yes, there was some cheating, but was it intentionaly? I don't think so in most of the cases.

So again i second chutuluu when he or she says the event team will take it with them next time :)

Bluaarbthi, yes there was intentional cheating.

The ryzom community is maybe better than elsewhere, but this is the human nature and Ryzom is not an exception, sadly.

Some of those players renounced their results, but not everyone, and the worst are those who cheated smartly.

Sorry, i do not want to crush your dream, but yubos don't poop rainbows.

#39 [en]

that's why i said some AND i'm willing to defend his case...

Yubo's poop poop, i know , so no dreams crushed :))

Just wanted

1 Retiya not to feel bad
2 and give a signal to the event team to be sure this didn't happen again
3 try to defend the players who meant well

But i agree 100 %

Just wondering if the sign explained the marathon or triathlon rules, if you even read it.....

I strongly agree with both Refyia and Valgar about cheating and not understanding the rules and really hope that event team will know what to do with homins who wanted to go around intentionally or not.

But I would like to add that time schedule and race duration in events like this MUST be fixed. This is something that cannot be optional.
The event team needed to exactly state when was the start of games (that was right) and when is the end of the games (this was not right and was postponed twice first to 23rd and then to 24th). In my opinion the games should have end at exact time and hour clearly stated so that players can plan time when to race. Celebration and closing of event though could be few days later or in time that is required for event team to prepare everything. This is very important for ppl that have schedules in RL (I'm sure I'm not alone here).

Beside that what to say then that event and idea was great and that I would like to see more such events (maybe leagues or something) that would be active for whole season or something like that.

I'd still like to know why Light the Fire was awarded by individuals when it was a team event. Which started hours (ig) late as no one showed up except myself until it was almost over and the judges left several times.

#43 [en]

I'm agree with Placio, it's not really logic, the "Light the Fire" event was a team game and should have been rewarded as teams, like the yuboball.

I don't understand neither my 3rd place at Triathlon, I'd like a recheck because i'm not sure to deserve this one oO

But most of all, since it was a Nation event, I think there should be a reward for the Nation too...
I think that something like the golden statue would suit very well in the Lakes... with the names of all Tryker representatives who won this Atys Games for their Nation, until the next games :)
And i think it could motivate more peoples for the next games.

A point about what said Perkwunos too. It's so true, an exact time for the end of the races Must be add !

Beside that, thanks for the anime team and everyone, that was really fun, espacially the yuboball ^^

Not at all sure why extension of the ending time so that others can play is a bad thing. Missing a starting time, yes, that can be problematic, but extending an ending time? Where is the harm in that?

No harm at all. It is not about extending but stating exactly for how long event will be extended and when exactly the event will be finished (for example: "the race will be extended for two days and closes at Aug 30, 12:00 UTC").
