I've been thinking about getting a new 27" display supporting 4k resolution (3840×2160). Is there any reason why Ryzom would not support such resolution? I don't think my GTX 570 supports it though. Any idea what kind of GPU would run Ryzom on Ubuntu with 4k resolution and best settings without lag?

For full support you should think about nvidia 900 series.
I have a 5k resolution, i play in window mode on debian best way for biggest resolution :-)

Thanks for info. Have you tried if Ryzom runs on full screen with 5k resolution? I don't see why Ryzom would have a max resolution limit, but I'd like to be sure before investing.

I could probably buy GeForce GTX960 for my DH67CL motherboard and play Ryzom on Ubuntu using 4k resolution.

Considering that there is no limit to the max resolution of screenshots, I don't see how there could be a cap on the max resolution either, since the client re-renders the window when doing higher res screenshots than current settings.
