How about a banner with their Guild Logo on it? "I claim this outpost in the name of...."

Also be cool to be able to add the Guild Logo to your armour, say on the back or front of the breastplate..

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

like the flags but would love to nudge this a bit more and ask the ryzom forge to give us players the ability to make our own campfires again :). It doesn't have to be like in the past but it was fun mixing the 3 mat types to craft the fire
I know that since advanced occupations got removed we don't need it anymore but still it was fun and alot of ppl put them up for small events, for chatting, some didn't go hunt without a fire burning at their grind spot ....

ça fait longtemps que les idées de drapeau et d'uniforme de guildes flotte dans l'air ^^

Créer des étendards de guilde serait assez facilement faisable (autant que les étendards de civilisation) et serait un ajout roleplay appréciable.
Cependant, la difficulté réside dans la multitude des blasons de guilde... et donc un nombre important d'étendards à créer guilde par guilde.
Cela supposerait donc d'avoir soit des volontaires pour accomplir cette tâche, soit de trouver un autre moyen pour personnaliser les étendards.

L'appel est lancé !

Et un PNJ porte drapeau accompagnant les dirigeants des nations?

Créer des étendards à tenir à la main est assez simple en soi (C'est le même principe que celui utilisé pour créer un gubani en peluche). Cependant, pour que ça soit réaliste, le drapeau doit bouger au vent. C'est possible mais nécessite une animation, donc ça ne sera pas dans l'immédiat.

Creating a guild banner (as the civilisation ones but with the guild logo) is almost easy to do.
The problem is, that the game engine (NeL) doesn't support variable textures (the picture on the object - always the same but with different logos) and the game client doesn't support automatically downloads, when it needs them.
In fact there are more than 1000 guilds registered since merge. Even if we ignore inactive ones, there would be also storage guilds etc which all need its textures (which you would have to download also) for their armors, (maybe) weapons, flags, ..
So it is unfortunatelly not in the hands of the Ryzom Forge team, but needed dev team (Ryzom Core or Ryzom one). We'll need to talk with them about this question.
