(OOC: Thank you for the complement Rikutatis, :). Yes indeed it is a curious thing this Zorai! However if one goes to the Black Circle camp and observes the pile of Goo and looks at the gaurds, there is actually a 'Zorai' Gaurd there! One can only assume it was his day off and he was visiting friends and/or family in Zora, and enjoying a drink at the bar. Or as you say, maybe there is other Nefarious goals.
At any rate, thanks for the link. I already have an Idea :D) More to come....

Naema decided the only thing she could do now was to start her own studies. Of course she would do research at the local public library and Higher learning research centers of the Kingdom, although she was aware not much information was left after the second great swarming. She wondered who she could contact to find out more about Matis Scientists without raising suspicions. How would she ask her questions? Who knew her father and the ones he was supplying samples to?

She was not one to be too involved with politics, so she was not too familiar with Matis government, nor who the nobles were, their duties, titles, and so on. She had only gone to a few Village meetings in Natae with her friend, since she knew the dialect. But quickly gave up when she realized nothing ever gets done when it comes to governments. She desperately wanted a transport system to Grove of Confusion which the local authorities quickly denied even to Matis loyals if they are not aligned with Jena. They told her they would not even supply guards so the New Horizons guys would be protected up there. Suddenly uncontrolled anger welled up in her, but quickly subsided. 'Where did that come from?' She thought.

She remembered a homin who was involved with just the information she needed, or at least he was the only one she could think of that might know. Ser Salazar! She was not sure of his title or involvement, nor knowledge of Matis history, government, etc. She only knew of his name, and colorful arguments when it came to events of importance with the Matis kingdom. He was always present for such events, although she heard he had stepped back for what appeared to be a semi-retired life. Seems even politics have had a similar effect on this once proud noble as it had on her. Non-the-less, she knew he knew things about Matis scientists, history and the like, so she went to go ask him in a very descreet way some questions that if anyone knew about it, she may perhaps be arrested! She had to be very careful of the way she asked, and what she asked about. 'But this was the Forest,' she thought, 'Nothing will happen to a Matis here, it is only in the Jungle where they banned crafting with Goo mats....'

She knocked on the office door of Ser Salazar, and having already closed for the day, she inquired of where he lived and went to his door. Having still not found him home, she grew frustrated and decided to go home. After giving it some thought, she got up, went to the reinforced, refrigerated chest where her goo materials were stored. At that point, she decided to do some more crafting with the mats she had and see what happens. Later, she would go inquire about the Kingdom sponsored studies on Goo, or even the not-so-sponsored studies, at least not publicly....

She opened the box and put on her gloves. She pulled out some of the corrupted Igara skins, then went to get some small pieces of wood, resin, oil, sap, and the tools she would need. She started tinkering and making some armor. Just then a tired looking Izam flew into her window with a message attached. Ah! It was from Be'Marrell Brerman. She started to read it. As she got to the end of the message she realized she would have to be careful if she ever entered Zora again. But that is where her guild hall is! How would she explain this to her guildies? She decided to keep this all a secret.

Just then, things started getting blurry in her eyes. She started seeing colors in her mind which seemed to take her into a mental frenzy. It was exhilarating and enlightening! At the same time, it started out a little painful, but it seemed to subside. She was in a state of semi-consciousness, aware of something happening to her, but not in control of herself. At the same time enjoying the experience but not sure if it was real. She continued on, making for herself a full set of Heavy armor. She really wanted to see how durable or better these were. Maybe she could apply things she learned here with her aim to craft weapons with Goo mats. Time would tell.

As she progressed, the creative spark she had in her head turned into something that kept resonating in her head. It grew and grew. She could not make out what it was saying, almost voice-like. She almost started to believe something was trying to tell her something. She decided to lay down for a while and rest. She fell into a deep sleep and started dreaming.

“It is the Road to Power!” a crazy Zorai shouted in her ear. Startled, she looked around at her. She noticed the Zorai had already wandered off shouting at others, She shrugged and continued on.

She awoke not remembering much at all from the night before, not until she spied the full suit of armor laying on the table. Then most of it came back to her. She tried to remember the dream. She couldn't at first so she tried on the suit of armor. First the gloves, her hands tingled, she grew excited, but fearful. Then she tried on the pants, then the vest. She inhaled with the deepest of breaths and it made her feel powerful! The she quickly threw on the sleeves and finally the boots. Grabbed her helmet put it on and her 2 hand sword and ran outside feeling invincible! But a pain came upon her mind, It kept resonating over and over again... What was it? What was it?

“Take the armor off, Lest you kill the Igara and destroy Atys!”

It resonated loudly inside her brain. Her eyes became enlarged, her mouth opened wide. She immediately ripped the helmet off and sleeves, gloves, boots, ran inside and pulled the pants and vest off too and threw them on the ground into a corner of her room. She ran to the washroom and jumped into the shower to wash herself off, trying to cleanse herself from any contamination. She feared what she experienced. It frightened her in a way no Kitin, or Kirosta patrol, or Outpost war ever did. She very carefully put away the armor set and sealed it up tight in one of her fathers old resin and sap lined boxes that were still around, and she locked it securely. She decided to never put it on again.

She later thought deeply about this experience and felt strongly that she was a small part of something much much larger. She wanted to play her part and see what it led too. Without destroying Atys of course! She felt the Goo armor was much to dangerous to experiment with at the moment until she learned more from her research and studies. Goo Weapons on the other hand still intrigued her. She would continue her studies on this subject, she was Matis after all....But, she decided she would use extreme caution from now on.

“Kill the Igara? What is this Igara?” She pondered. It was a frightening warning for sure.

She lifted her pen and started to compose a letter to Ser Salazar since she could not find him home:

"Greetings Ser Salazar!
I realize you are probably unfamiliar with me, I am just a humble servant of the Matis Kingdom. We have only spoken once or twice I'm afraid. The reason for my correspondence is I am unfamiliar with resources of Matis government. I desire to obtain information on various kinds of study our wonderful Scientists have discovered. I have assumed any books from the library and so forth were destroyed in the second swarming. But perhaps some Ambers were preserved?
Maybe you can provide me with the names of our scientists, such as Alamati. Any sources of literacy pertaining to their studies, especially pertaining to Goo. I understand the Zorai are studying this subject with fervent desire. However, in the past the forest has had outbreaks too and I am sure our scientists have more than a passing interest in preventing another. I love the forest and am passionate about not letting that happen again. This subject interests me besides. Also, is there a college or academy where one can attend to further their studies of Matis history, Government and Botany amongst other things? If so, I may wish to enroll.
Cordially yours,
Naema

-Naema decided to lock up her journal for the time being while she studied further this subject of Goo and crafting with it. She buried her head into books, amber cubes, Collegiate studies in each of the Racial capitals. She quizzed professors, scientists, old timers, goo Champions, even each Bartender! She would eventually decided to go out and hunt Pei-Ruz to find out more if she could. After that, she would unlock her journals and write down her findings once again. Some frequently said they saw her with a sword in her hand running around in PR naked. But that is another story for another time.

Just then a gentle breeze blew in the air. It was a different kind of breeze. The kind of breeze you knew was going to get larger, much larger. Yet, somehow, things seems better again.

/OOC: I have decided to give this story a rest for now while Naema continues to study the Goo and waits for Ser Salazars reply. There is much, much more I wanted to write about, and there is still unresolved issues and potential revelations. In the future i may explain these in more detail. But for now, this seemed like a good place to stop. Hope you enjoyed my first writing experience i have attempted in years. :)
