I think that when you are PVP enabled and someone attacks u , it shud put them in PVP Enabled ... IE i teliport from PR and im still attackable someone attacks me and all i can do is watch them?

really think this needs to be changed so that people think about attacking you first!

+100! I really really want this done.... I had so many times been killed by others not gonna name them because they are not in game atm to defend their "honor" but this is one of the best ideas regarding PvP i've seen.

What you describe is a very old issue related to PvP zones.
What happens is, that save zones don't work as expected, while you are tagged for Zone PvP.

So a fix should be a patch for the save zones, not a new mechanism for PvP flagging players.

I agree people should be tagged PVP when attacking someone who's tagged PVP. There's really no reason not to. Though if we need a patch to fix the issue Trini suggested, why not have that -too-?

This is the issue that exists, because you are not save in the borders of an altar save zone after you teleported out of a pvp zone. In my humble opinion these save zones work the same as the ones in the prime roots. You 'leave' the pvp zone and enter the altars save zone. Now the pvp deactivation timer counts down, until you loose the pvp attackable tag.

So the rule is: 30s after entering the guild-pvp zone, you are attackable by everyone not in your guild until 30s after you left the guild-pvp zone.

That is what I meant by 'save zones don't work as expected'

They don't work if you TP out?? Really? Was not aware of that. Never had the issue with this type of PvP at the TP to be honest, but then yes I believe that that needs to be fixed. The TP should always be a safe zone no matter the type of PvP and the region.

Had this happen to me once during some flagged fun in Yrkanis. I had dropped team to do some plodding, and was waiting at the Kara TP for my flag to fall off, and someone killed me. I assumed it was just because I was at a Kara TP, but maybe not.

Also had a couple of people (from the same guild, interestingly enough) attack me at the Grove of Umbra portal on the PR side after I had been digging and was trying to TP out.

If/when the bug is fixed, I think it would be good for factioned players to be unprotected at "enemy" TPs for PvP only. PvE should still be protected.

think the message is getting miss understood , quite simple i think the mechanic of being attacked as ur flagged should automaticcally flag the attacker so currently if u tp to a safe zone ur attackable if u leave altar .. which is fair enough but if someone attacks u surely they shud get flagged

effex you have the right idea. if you are attacked you should by all rights be able to defend yourself no matter why or how or where you were attacked the attacker should be flagged somehow as an enemy. we arent talking safe zones here or specified timers or pvp zones we are talked when we get attacked by someone not currently flagged it should flag them some sort of pvp as soon as they attack someone who it attackable.

it's worse. You can get attacked even inside the supposed safe zone, apparently, which sounds very much like another but related bug.
