Having been here since the very 1st beta there's no denying the mass exodus of w/ people after each uptick of PvP. Ryzom's uniqueness has been that it allows PvE players to co-exist in the same place as PvP players w/o denying them access to anything, often despite the devs efforts.

While the devs have clearly tried to force PvP on the community, 1st with OP's, then with Jessica-keth, then with the Spires idea all the way onto the reduction in OP goodies and introduction of race PvP, the community has done a "Nancy Regan" and maintained a "just say no" approach.

There is no reason to have the 150 or 200 regions as PvP this would simply be a "I have power over you" trip and no real PvP'er gets a thril from killing someone who doesn't stand a chance.

The whole idea of Player vs Player is the challange if not its just cowardice where is the excitment of winning a battle you already knew you where going to win?

I love to fight in the OP wars and it's a shame they are a little less frequent and considerably lower numbers of folks attending these days however more reason to PvP is not essentially a bad thing but it has to balance with the rest of the game. It cannot be the dominating factor otherwise Ryzom will sink like all those other games which focused on PvP drew in the wrong crowd and basically shut down the other types of players the casual PvP'ers, the diggers and crafters EACH needs to be balanced with PvP not under it's boot.

And like others have said quality over quantity give folks a good reason to want to enter into a PvP zone, this can be gear, dug materials, or run a faction based event in Nexus free PvP but making it a building event so PvP'ers have to protect the diggers this engages both sides of the coin not just 1 over the other.

Anyone who wants dug supreme mats has to venture into PR where PvP'ers can and do go to gank diggers that is your reward to stop someone getting to the supernode.

Their is PvP available nothing to say you can't arrange your own PvP events though.

"Can", being the key word ..... thankfully (for me) most don't. I have been attacked only once in 7+ years. The community has honored the wishes of players, the know who's here for what, and that's what makes Ryzon such a wonderful place to be.

Nexus is also PvP, and is forest dig zone, and only max q200 :-/

It seems that, so far, the supreme mats all have either a PvP or a KP component to all of them (or both, for Supernodes). I'd consider these "easy to get" supremes, since they're always there except for weather and season.

No thanks, seen enough of those already.
Rather turn off pvp everywhere and let diggers do their thing without being harassed, if you want to fight each other, make it a fair fight and go to the arena.

Iala, I have never had any problems with being ganked in PR, even when I was pvp tagged. To be honest, it would be nice to see some people running around in PR (cuz maybe then the KP would not be targetting me all the time).

Iala why do you play this game? Honestly? You complain more about things that no one has any issues with really. Even if you did get ganked in PR thats the risk you take to dig in those areas. You had the choice KP or PvP area. As for the arena... Its lame and no one really uses it. When I first started playing the Kami and Karavan used to fight over the supernodes and that was a stressful time for diggers but it made digging supremes a team event and it made things interesting

I love this game, I hate seeing it turned into a gank fest. So it's not the game I don't like, but what some people are trying to turn it into (in this case, turning every high level area into a forced pvp zone, or even "only" all of the prime roots).
Small (or rather very large) difference.

Ryzom was never intended to have world pvp, it was bolted on afterwards by Game Forge to attract the ganker and griefer crowd. Don't make that worse by making it impossible for those who're not gankers and griefers to even leave the cities and towns because they'd be ganked everywhere (like we see in other games that have such mechanics).
