Sorry if this is repetitive I have not been on enough to read the other posts on this forum.

Some of the ideas we have come up with for crafting include getting bonuses when crafting items (i.e. random chance for +2 dodge on LA pieces or +20 sap) This would be a chance for people to actually go and craft for a reason. Maybe when you make a sword you can get a +damage bonus to that weapon. We do not want to necessarily make something that is completely overpowered, but maybe give the person a slight edge during a pvp conflict because you took the time to grind out a new set of gear. We all know that gear breaks so this would be something that would not last forever for the person as well, which creates a whole new market for weapons and armor.

Possible a new sink for unused points in your trees...new skills and counterparts to use in skills.

We have mentioned the idea for Ploderos packers or Shalah packers....for those crazy diggers out there...

More interesting boss encounters would be well received by all. I personally got tired of going out and killing a boss with just me and my alt by pressing 2-5 buttons...got lame...fights like Cratchkin are fun and I would like to see more mechanics in the boss fights that make it so you need to have a team to hunt them. This will make them more of a challenge and bring something new to the game.

Lastly we all know the populations have been really low on the servers as of late, have you looked into the possible merge of the 3 servers to up the amount of people on for the events and increase the participation in pvp and op battles. We could still keep separate Universe channels for each server so that all people can talk in their native language or choose a language they prefer. If the server population went up more people would have to find more places to dig due to Kami Tolerance and would actually have to pvp for super nodes and PR bosses. The amount of change would be incredible and bring the game more inline with what the mechanics were supposed to look like.

Well that is all that is on my mind for now...lets see what your feedback is on this first and I will gather more thoughts because I have tons.

OH OH...give us a drink that we can use while out of combat that replenishes our stats...I am tired of running around without anyway to heal myself other then Self Heals. Makes life a pain in the butt. One drink added to the vendors for 500-1000 dappers will be a life saver....

Merge of the servers has been already discussed many times and rejected by the most of participants of those discussions, including players from all three communities.

As for new stanzas, i've posted a couple of proposals:

I see you have no idea about what the Occupations and their products are. Go read recent patch notes on Ryzom website.

This is kinda two different ideas...keeping one idea per post makes it easier to just agree/disagree.

I actually would not be against a server merger, even if it meant we had to give up our OP...but if the rest of the communities have already said no, I can enjoy an empty Atys too. Although, I would hate a good decision that would be good for all the communities involved, no matter how hard it might be at the start, not be made because some big fish in the communities fear becoming smaller fish relative to a larger pool. But, as the community wishes...

Alternately, I am all for new armor and weapon designs, and as you say...lots of them. This is a huge +1 for me. Just have the tree break down into more subsections at 200 into "Racial Design 1", "Racial Design 2", "Outpost Design 4", etc...(but use real names of course). The problem I see with this is the huge amount of excess crafting points that would be available. Of course, this could be fixed by also offering a few special crafting stanzas...ones that cost 100s or even 1000s of crafting points, but give a unique bonus to crafts (or possible bonus). In fact, I like this idea enough that I will do a separate thread on it. I have to think on it a bit.

To the OP...the armor and weapons are just art, design new ones and submit them. If they are good enough, the devs might figure out how to work them in...I think that was part of their hope in going open source.

Thanks for the link Tumbleweed. I must admit that I do not agree with many of the objections found in that thread. I do not want to hijack this thread into another debate on merging the servers...but, the OP mentioned it...lol.

So, to address it, the fact that Kami Tolerance goes down is a FEATURE...if you dig a spot to zero KT...you have to find a new spot - this is "works as intended". The fact that everyone currently digs in the same spot all day without touching the KT shows that the population is not near what the server is designed for, not the other way around. To argue differently is only an argument for easy mode...because it is easier...not an argument I would consider valid.

As far as why adding a population you cannot talk to is a good thing. It would be nice to run through a capital city and actually see more players than the occasional homin AFK at the TP. Atys would FEEL like a living world, something that is often missing now. The objections about the inability to make teams is also not valid because it would not make finding teams MORE difficult, there would still be the same English (as well as each languages community) speaking community, yet, we may get some additional bilinguals...making the chance of finding teams greater.

The ONLY objection I saw that was valid was the difficulty in running events. As an actual Linguist, I cannot agree with any linguistic elitist arguments for a lingua franca. I agree this problem would need a solution before any merger could even be considered.
