Mutual GNU / Linux

I have Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit, when I use magic attacks it causes the sound to seriously stutter. I've tried all the different sound settings, but nothing fixes it.

I have 4 GB of memory, 2.1 GHz dual core processor, and 128 MB of dedicated video memory. I also have a good modern sound card, Intel hi def sound card.

Checked out the site you posted, looks like others already posted about the same problem, meaning they already got the bug in their ear, and now I guess we just wait for a fix.

I am running linux mint 14 and am having this issue, i seem unable to access the thread listed in the responce to this post. I know this is two years old but have been unable to find anything more recent which gives me hope that i may find or put in place a fix. Is anyone able to help me solve this issue i have tried all the settings in the client gui.

I have experienced stuttering in sound but usually in other sounds that I am downloading. The problem appears to be one of competition for downloading resources. However, that wouldn't apply to a pure client situation since there shouldn't be competition.

However, if the downloaded triggers for the animation and sound generation from the client files are interfering with the execution of the client itself, you might get something like that. It would still be a bug, but at least one that might be explainable.

No solution, but a possible analysis.
