Well after my fires i put up just for fun and some small rp reasons why not make the fires the lvl of the mats they are crafted with for example q250 mats are more expencive but give a q250 fire that ppl can't kill that easy

Seems a very sensible idea to me and would improve the game immeasurably. Definitely a double thumbs up idea imo.

The fires were implemented for the occupations really. You don't need a higher Q fire for that.
Oh and btw no Amicitia is not becomming firefighters.

well it's a sandbox game we can do with fires what we want and i like them for some small roleplay stuff, nice to sit around them having fun and chatting, i also try to make sure there is always a fire beacon buring at the FH stables for travlers to warm up to and share there adventures with us stable guards

I'm guessing the concern isn't necessarily the mats used, but people snuffing out the fires, which definitely needs to continue to be allowed?

What about ensuring that the fires can't be placed such that they block people from moving and then prevent the fire from being destroyed by anyone other than its creator as long as that creator is within range (say, 10m)? Then instead of having to kill the fire, just make it a right-click action to snuff out the fire.

When the creator is no longer within range of his or her fire, let the fire begin to die out. Let the grade and quality of the mats used determine how long the fire lasts once the creator scampers off to somewhere else.

If the creator steps away from his fire and then returns, let it repair itself (as if the creator is actively maintaining his fire) until it reaches maximum "health". If someone destroys the fire while the creator steps away, oh well.. you left your fire unattended and it could have burned the place down!

well the blocking game is only done with friends and can't be mad somebody kills it for being blocked (can always tp)
and i understand fires should be able to get killed or all of atys would be filled with campfires but why is it made that easy and why do guards kill it once a person agro's it

Most likely fires are really just reskinned plants (shooki plants?). They're mobs, guards are defending, etc. A quick hack, basically =)

Ok I think I'll try to explain some things here about how I see the campfires, ppl keep seeing my reactions as wrong even if I put them in region chat (what was meant as an RP (lite-RP) channel if I'm not mistaken and i don't want fights to be started over these fires or even ppl being kicked and stuff.

If i react on the fires being killed it's just in lite-RP mode it's not that I'm sitting behind my pc going crazy over it, I do put them up for lite-RP and harmless fun so I react in that mode aswell I know I should not react in kara chat for it really but comon Amiciata seem to be the firefighters of atys and my emphasis was more on that then to point a finger at them for killing the fires (if the matis say they are against open fires on the beach well I can follow them in it, just say that's the reason then)

ps. i do not like ppl taunting them and running to guards or nuking them from far away that's just sad I guess (well I guess it's just part how some ppl are really like when ppl grief packers without coming out for it it's a bit the same with the fires => oh something from somebody else i can kill without being killed myself, lets kill it)

I don't think the quality should be rose only because most of us can't take out q250 mats. I do agree that they should not be attackable.

well i mean make the fire the q of the mats used so if you use q10 mats it would be q10 fire using q230 mats would give q230 fire

Maybe a short-term solution is to make the guards ignore the campfires. Then people will actually have to visibly attack them to kill them instead of hide behind the guards.

There will still undoubtedly be other problems that are discovered, but this will at least resolve the temporary symptom.
