I know that you can buy game cards in most cigarette stores (here in belgium) to charge not bibit but the other option, but in the end those come out alot more expencive i've heard

Was just thinking but thinking this could kind off work:
Ask the persons login and pass
then login and change pass (for safty that they don't lock you out)
add a 6month sub or something
after adding it cancel the sub after you got mony detracted
give the person the new pass so he can login

<= I'm not responsible if this is safe or not but I think once you cancel bibit the next time you reactivite it, then it needs your data again atleast here in belgium with an ing visa

I know some changes were made to how pacts functioned back in patch 1.12 (in mid 2008), so I have a couple questions to clarify very specific situations with pacts. I have also encountered some variations of my own question from others, so I want to ask those as well.

It is my understanding that a Karavaneer/Kamist cannot use opposing pacts (ie, a character cannot declare Kami, buy q250/PR Kami pacts in bulk, switch to Karavaneer and still use the Kami pacts) and vice versa. Is this correct?

Also;

If a homin declares Kami/Karavan and purchases q250/PR pacts and then returns to Neutral - are they able to use the pacts they have already purchased? (I would assume not, but would like a for-certain answer.)

If a person declares Kami/Karavan - are they able to use the opposite faction Neutral teleports? For example, if a homin were to declare Karavan, would that homin still be able to use the Kami teleport in Fleeting Garden, which is the Neutral pact for that zone?

All of these questions refer to the -use- of already-owned pacts, not to the purchase of new pacts.

I'm afraid I can only answer two of those questions with certainty.

Correct to the first question. With the recent changes a toon cannot use the opposite faction teleporters. They can only use those of their faction.

I want to say that you can still use any teleporters if you change from being factioned to neutral but to be honest I don't have any solid confirmation of that.

A person that declares Kami/Kara is not able to use the opposing neutral teleporters. All those are cancelled out.

I hope this helps for some clarification and sorry again that I don't have a definite answer for your second question.

Here's a my fave nagging FAQ:


1) When crafting Ranged Weapons, many of the mat "stats" are useless... I've heard it said many a time that the "only" stats that work for Guns are "range" and "speed". The "damage" stat applies to Ammo only.

a) What about Dodge? (::thinks of pistols::)

b) What about Adversary dodge/parry? Are those built into the Gun, or the Ammo? Do they work at all? How in heck do you Parry a bullet anyway, Superman?

c) Are they EVER going to fix this? (Or at least update the BM Crafting page to reflect reality?) Crafting Guns is currently a Digger's nightmare and a Hunter's dream... most everything you can forage is completely useless on a Gun...

d) Will crafting a Lighter gun reduce the Stamina drain it incurs? (similar to effect of Lightness on swinging melee weapons around)

d) Is there a relevant Gun-crafting forum page/guide anywhere in existence besides the "Crafting Ranges" one (which is only semi-useful)?

If you don't see them in response to a /who GM , they are in"stealth mode". That question is kinda akin to the guy at the secret CIA spy meeting asking "Are there any KGB agents at this table ? " :) [ Hint: No KGB guys raise their hand]

Next Tip: RTFM ... broad questions are best answered in the manual or wiki. If ya answer requires more than a sentence, best to look there first.

No you can't. Tried this one. You can not use any opposing faction pacts. They are useable by neutrals which you are no longer.

Is there any site with maps of where to find harvesting mats, that was created after the merge please?

Is there much of a difference between the size of the factions?

Both http://www.bmsite.net and http://ryzom.silenda.de have revised their maps to reflect the new status quo. The ones on silenda.de seem to be a bit more sparse than those on bmsite.net. Bmsite also has some nice information on the locations of materials for the event of Rebuilding the Kitin Observation Camps.

When I join I'm in first person view. I can turn to look around but the player body stays still. Solution is to use mouse wheel to zoom out and use 3rd person view.

When you are down in coma, ask for help with a clear line like "I need a res at <location> in <time left>!". If you are in a guild, you probably want to ask there. Otherwise region chat is probably best choice. You can also ask in universe, maybe someone can teleport around. If someone tells you they are coming make sure you invite them to a team so that they can target you on compass. Don't forget to cancel your res request on all channels/chats. You may also want to tell them the time left every now and then.

Something I want to add to "How should I spend my skill points?": Make sure you spend skill points to improve the quality of your forage and crafting. The xp you gain in those skills is based on the quality of the item you extract/craft.
