IDEAS FOR RYZOM

As the title suggests:

would be nice to have a slash command to list in system.info all the slash commands available in game except the emotes (that are too many and there is already the button in the chat window).

I know, but i consider more useful having a list in game instead of the need to alt-tabbing to read them.

Anyway, if no one feel the need to have them (most mmorpg have that kind of command), even considering how easy could be done, no problem for me.
It was just a suggestion.

I wonder how many people even know about the wiki or even read it... Adding a "type /help for a list of commands" as message of the day or simple login message would be a simple solution without any effort except printing some commands client side when typing /help.

Yes, I understand this request and I had no intention of contradicting it. I think you misunderstood me. I posted the link to the wiki to guide players who might not be aware of the existence of the wiki, not to criticize this idea. Sorry for the confusion.

On the other hand I would like to add : I had thought that Silan Refactoring should teach new players about the existence of useful links like the wiki, the forum, Ballistic Mystix, ryzom.silenda.de, etc ... Because even if we create a command that allows to see the other commands, we still need to teach this command and the important links.

I understand your intentions. But i think you and WG in general should consider that most players also play other mmorpg, and generally the slash help is normally used everywhere.

As I said, it was just a suggestion: for me, alt-tabbing is always a break to the immersion in any game. I used my alt cper very little because of this reason. I can just cure my sources by myself as any tryker is used to :)

Knowing the other useful links is important too, so i agree players should be advised about their existance.

Anyway the add of a slash command is really an easy task, probably could be done in minutes of code, also considering there is already the text in the wiki that can be cut-pasted and reformatted correctly to be shown in system.info
