Missions et renommée : quid des futurs et futurs-ex maraudeurs ?

Chers joueurs,

Nous allons très bientôt équilibrer les missions classiques en réduisant la perte de renommée par mission pour les non maraudeurs, comme expliqué ici.
En effet, le montant de la perte de renommée sera réduit à 0.3% de la renommée acquise pour les non Maraudeurs, et à 3% pour les Maraudeurs.

Cependant, ce correctif ne prendra pas en compte les cas suivants :

• Un futur maraudeur souhaitant perdre de la renommée de nation et de faction afin de pouvoir passer le rite maraudeur ;
• Un maraudeur souhaitant quitter sa faction, et donc gagner de la renommée de nation et de faction.

Nous cherchons actuellement des idées permettant de prendre en compte les deux cas ci-dessus. Si vous avez des suggestions à proposer, alors veuillez nous en faire part en réponse à ce fil de discussion.

( I think there is a mistake above : non-marauders may loose 0.3% fame max per mission, while marauders may loose 3% max per mission. The goal of marauders is to loose fame ).

(I think also anyone can win 3% fame per mission. Including marauders when they will have mission that give mara fame (to go above 50% ))

• A marauder wishing to leave his faction, and thus gain nation and faction fame.

I did some test on wandering NPC. Those who are outside cities and tribes.

They may be linked with a tribe or the local governement.
In the last case they ask you to be above zero.

BUT, I met also a fyros scout in jungle Purity Haven (Xarius Zessen). She didn't ask to be above zero fame to help her. I was able to win little fyros fame.

=> it seems that when a NPC is outside his country, he doesn't check fame.

Later, I went in Frahar Tower, I met a fyros patroller (Cekos Lyseus). The window say she did not ask any fame too. I did a green mission and get the max (18000pt) fyros fame.

=> patrollers may be special. They are moving a lot, hard to find.

conclusion : I think the solution for recovering nation fame is already in the game ! just we don't know the missions.

To recover K/K fame, I think it would demand to help certain tribes which are positively seens by power. For example helping black circle to get kara fame. But we need to check the requirement.

I see, so he needs to meet kind of a mara recruiter, then he will have something that removes the loss cap of 1800pt

After, he would need to help some of the bellicose tribes (which will became mara btw)

But those one are not easy to approach (region level + hostility). However it may depend your race.

Same as for winning fame, one should not forget about finding wandering NPCs, instead of heading to tribe's camp.

For example in outlaw canyon I was able to met a scout (Hon Di-Shuan) "friend of the lawless" that allow me to win the maximum fame with lawless (18000) without having already good reputation with them, so a way to get more missions later.

However, we need to decide at which level a player should be able to do this ?

Uh, yes, it is opposite, 3% for Marauders and 0.3% for others. My bad proofreading, sorry.

Scouts, Patrollers and Jorneymen should not have any fame requirements. It is a way how to gain fame when your actual fame is terrible.

A marauder can leave the faction and start to win same fame than non marauders. No any problem with that.

Yes, but with fames all close to -100 it will make your life pretty complicated.

My original idea was to create a small mission where you can declare/revoke enmity to nations or factions (by getting/removing special invisible item in bag to identify this fact, invisible like occupation "badge items" are). After some thinking I realize we alredy have this by the NPC where you can revoke your citizenship/allegiance.

We can use this way to get/remove that invisible item (that indentifies you wish to loose fame) and we should finally fix the fact you can do this action again and again to loose your fame cheaply.

The attack is in your mind CSR(?) Tykus, you should carry on and check the rest of the forum instead of creating by yourself meaningless pseudo-attack.

Lorist and Dev discuss here something that is already settled since 2 years (to be fair 1,5 year).
While we wonder the seriousness of this, a reminder is needed.

I invite you(them) to check the pad which i shall remind you all, was the work of numerous Marauder's that are long time gone now, due to the abandon of the faction and promise that never came.
Its just respect to use their work at least.

@Agan - I know that this may be a foreign concept to you, but some folks care about game balance even for factions that are not their own. Maybe it's altruism, maybe they have a secret mara alt. In any event, there is plenty of reason to have this conversation in the open.

It's a bit hypocritical to cry when mara are exclude from event, then cry when people talk about mara evolution and project and ask to exclude them from debate.And this topic do not only matter for marauders, it's about the game, so everybody is concern.And, please, stay polite.
