Bittty, next to every package run mission giver theres a prospector NPC. They give those digging missions.

That might explain it, since I never did package runs. :D Thanks.

Do not assume that you speak for all just because you are the loudest voice; there are many who disagree that simply have no desire to waste words on you.

I have to mention again- since it may have been lost in translation- that Craft-for-Dappers "Overseers" should not have such long cooldowns as (1) there was no reward boost (which was miss stated in the Ryzforge meeting) and (2) craft missions actually pay very little based on per material and per time required basis. The Overseers were the only missions that were not broke before the patch... but now are. Please review the earlier comments- there is a huge difference between hunter, prospector, supplier missions and crafting! (Basically, crafting requires you to trek to materials, harvest them, trek to the overseer, make the items, and deliver the items to the NPC)

Also, Craft missions for only fame are broken now since the fame was almost completely nerfed.

Low dappers, no points, low fame... that means the only meaningful rewards for anything are XP and mats, neither of which require missions :/

@Placio,

Yes your statement about craft missions is right, their dapper reward hasn't been touched because it was judged fair. In fact, other missions rewards were upgraded with craft missions as reference.

The fame reward of craft mission has been doubled since the patch. However the base is still low and does not increase with mission level, it's on purpose.

It's true that it takes time to dig material before crafting for the mission. But on the other hand, possibilities to get generic materials appeared in the game (from wheel and now involvement). Combined with loot from hunts, this might make craft mission more and more easier.

The long CD was set on purpose to make people search for more variety of missions.

In any case, we are still watching closely at the balance. Just you understand we are not gonna change parameters every 2 days.

Thank you for having reported your feeling.

Grinding the same craft type over and over is a hard set game mechanic- crafting is the mostly grindy part of the game. I think I will post a couple ideas about it seperate from this thread.

EDIT:
As promised Ulukyn, I am updating all my recent posts to say thank you for reaching out. Your customer service and real understanding matter a lot.  Thank you for your messages and your efforts. I will wait to see the announcements and the fixes.

Hello Namcha

Please understand I appreciate the help you give to the game. This comment is not personal.

I do not like the wheel. It is a blatant way used to trick people into wasting their dappers before the patch. It also offers rewards I cannot get elsewhere, so it is really hated by me. I'm not going to use it. I require other fair ways other than gambling to get the items.

New craft plans, better source of nation points, firework occupation, and potion making skill. I know the wheel is very fancy and very new. I know it took work but it's not the right thing for the game.

So, I do not care about the generic mats in the wheel. It's not going to help me with the craft missions.

The Fame from crafting is really worthless compared to the other missions. The only reward is dappers and the timer is now punitive.

You and others of the team admit the agenda is to force, not encourage, people to do other missions. The other missions are so much better, it's really unbalanced.

I disagree
You should have already pushed a new patch by now. You should even patch often. It's so crazy the nh has not been partially reinstated with faction points.

So what if your server architecture refills sups at every patch? Firstly that's not my fault and secondly, resets are so often who really cares?

Why aren't you forcing sups to degrade from ghs that have too many? Why isn't someone forcing that agenda? I'm not saying I want this. I'm just making a point. Just because you think the* game has too much of something does not make it ok to Nerf that thing into the ground with no sympathy.

Don't just say OH you can just do OTHER stupidly boring missions, OH you can just dig for your points.

That's not how balance, respect and empathy work. FYI I have some qualifications on new product development, on trade off theory, on customer service.

You cannot simply tell your* customers what the new law is. This is not a dictatorship.
, Sorry
Again for the human emotions for a place that was once my home.

Forcing someone to do what you want is not freedom in a sandbox. Giving them more options is. The buffs were long overdue. The nerfs were excessive, and the blunt disrespect needs to be corrected.

Thank you.

I appreciate the change of mood after your edit, thank you !
I'm also a customer/player who just became volunteer among others. Many times the aggressive words on forum toward "staff" cut me the will to step in ! ( And no one asked me to do it ).

I think too that crafting missions have yet to be tweaked. Let's wait because the priority concern seems not that, but the way to get crystal sap.

The wheel wasn't at all part of a plan to strip you dappers before something. It's just the new general reward for OOC content.

Involvement will be the main mechanism for IC rewards. For the moment you can get them only with kitin DynE but it will expand, as well as the list of rewards with that. So eventually you won't be forced to do OOC events neither buy tokens to get nice things. The fact is that wheel was there first.

Ways to get CS, tweaking standard NPC missions (which recent changes seem to receive also positive feedbacks) and reevaluating the occupations interest ; are topics being discussed at the moment.

An announcement will be made (we wait about translations)

Here the English version:

The Ryzom team has recently started a series of game-play modifications to highlight any possible improvements of the game's 11,000 missions.

1 - [COMPLETED] Decrease in the gains obtained via the "New Horizons" missions (Dappers, Nation Points, Fame), which are too advantageous and make other classic missions meaningless.
2 - [COMPLETED] Increase in the gains from the game's 11,000 classic missions (Dappers & Fame) to make them more attractive.
3 - [TESTING] Various balancing of classic missions:

- Reduction of the loss of reputation per mission for non-marauders.

- Addition of a maximum limit of fame that can be won or lost per mission.

- Correction of waiting times to resume a completed mission.

- Enhancement of classic craft missions.

4 - [TO BE COMPLETED] Addition of an information "Where is... ?", allowing players to know where a mission NPC is at a given moment, including Patrolling or wandering NPC's.
5 - [TO BE COMPLETED] Addition of "Daily Missions": A series of missions (classic and from occupations) to be carried out before choosing your rewards (Dappers, Nation Points, New Implications, Tokens). [More info SOON.]

In order to balance the situation, the Ryzom team will also make changes to upgrade the "camp tour" missions (Dappers, Nation Points):
[Being Tested] Decrease in the weight of a package, in order to be able to carry out the mission without a Mektoub.
[Being Tested] Increase in gains in the lower zones.

In addition, the occupations, previously used for "New Horizons" missions, are being promoted again within the "Daily Missions" which, we hope, will contribute to improve your gaming experience.

Like that you can simply located every NPC and you do not have to look for them?

#72 Report | Quote[fr]

Not exactly, you will ask a Npc where is your Target Npc.
If the Target are not in same region, will say in what region where is (most of the time the mission gives you the information too)

If the Target are in the same region, the Npc will give you information where found it. Something like
"Walk at the north-est to find them"
"I have see it at West"
"I'm not sure, sometimes he walk at South"
"You are very close, look at this direction..."

But nothing added to radar or map

We are doing the final tests about missions changes. Patch is coming!

We have added a new little feature for "Craft some, Give some" instead of "Craft all, Give all."
