This is something we need to improve significantly... Both in terms of documentation for Ryzom Forge and for players. Open question about RF documentation: how to add Khaganat documentation in our wikis? (Khaganat and Ryzom Forge are partners, but have different wikis.) We already uploaded a part of it, but it's a lot outdated and the links are dead. I let you think about the RF technical documentation, we'll talk again about it on the forum, on RC or during the next meeting. The second kind of documentation is the one for players: how to have them updated on the wiki with all gameplay changes and new content? Any proposal?
I cleaned old stuffs these last years… But I need help (knowledge), as I don't know Atys enough. The dedicated channel will help to correct errors or outdated data.
Maybe we could organize meetings closed or open to players with only some pages of contribution per session. I think we know enough people to organize ourselves moments to do it.
There are also wiki pages in other languages. And here we are short of contributors. Those who want to help with Ryzom wikis (and think about the issues) can join the public channel dedicated to the Wiki, which I will create as soon as the meeting is over. Now I let the wiki contributors speak, who will tell you about their publications, or what they want in relation to the wiki. :) Craftjenn has the floor!
A pity Zorroargh is not here… I don't have many feed back from readers / users. It's hard to know what is missing, too. As a Ranger, we help lot of youngs, and I was quite fed up to give the same old advices over and over again. I starded contributions because of that… just a note pad, to copy and paste. Then I noticed that the main contributor was of my own Guild. As you (maybe) know, there are six wikis: one for images and five wiki, very differents for each language (mains are EN FR DE), written by different people. Same issue with the forum: as Atys has a very long history, many posts are outdated (especially technical details and spoilers). A part of contributions are free (see the work of Lou Tei-Sang, or some writings as Eleanide's ones), an other part is LORE validated.

My POV I used wiki not often at the beginning. Everything was French and English translation, many articles were bad and german ones didnt exist.
I think a begining would be focus on FR and EN. I was as Heernis, reading english stuffs. I thought: I am not the best translator, but I can take some notes (summarize), try to translate, it could help an other French reader
It would be great to get members of all teams involved on the wiki channel. Contributors, translators, proofreaders, lorists, sys-admin, …

At the moment it seems I am alone at writing content for the German part of the wiki. Would be good to involve other german writers. And even if french people use DeepL to translate then put articles in German wiki, it is much better that nothing.
Good idea to use DeepL for German translations. Otherwise the Germans will have an entire wiki to translate…

At the moment I am updating article about the Wheel, an article whose original was in FR. I don't reveal there all that can be won at the Wheel. To keep suspense. But I try to explain all is worth to know about the Wheel. Here is an example of an article to update :)
My last contribution: https://fr.wiki.ryzom.com/wiki/Avant-propos. A fine story, written in French by a fellow player, that I'll translate to EN someday. I also contributed to User's Manual, Silan's Missions and Botanical articles.

I hope that most of those who so wished were able to attend this tribute ceremony. For the record, we just removed the Arionasis banner from the game, which was laying on the ground near Chiang. But Ari, his yubo zig, will remain permanently present (you can pet him). It was very emotional to see everyone present on Silan and to listen to everyone's words… We will publish the report of the ceremony, with pictures, on the forum. But I've seen that contributors have already created articles on the wiki: well done! For info, we have since one year the project of a permanent memorial for all players who passed away (waiting project). Any comment before to move to next topic?
On the French wiki, there's a dedicated category for that. I will build the structure for that.

Internally RRT and RF use a lot of DeepL automatic translator: https://www.deepl.com/translator We use it easily in events, by copy/paste, and I am doing the same right now for this meeting. DeepL translates much better than Google Translation, and this is particularly visible between German and French. We are testing the DeepL app on the test server, in order to use it as an automatic translator on all channels of the game. If it is successful (and it is on the way), we will install it on Atys. Then, there will be an option to enable/disable machine translations. This should greatly help to overcome the language barrier. And also to make events and meetings more comfortable!
I must note that the number of supported languages is limited however.
DeepL supports more and more languages. In the beginning, there were four, compared to nine now, including the five languages of the game.
German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Russian are supported.

Cette réunion spéciale de Ryzom Forge est faite à la demande d'Inky, qui est le créateur de l'interface des pactes K/K et de l'ajout des messages d'accueil sur les canaux en jeu. Il aimerait avoir vos retours sur ces ajouts. Inky, tu as la parole !
Nous allons commencer avec des retours sur la nouvelle interface de téléportation pour les Kara et les Kami, à vous la parole ! Tout d'abord, je m'excuse pour les soucis liés à la résurrection, c'est corrigé. Comme certains d'entre vous l'ont peut-être remarqué, le système d'achat auto ne nécessite pas une réputation maximale. C'était un malentendu. J'essaye de vous donner un moyen d'utiliser votre système de téléportation en y ajoutant un confort visuel ( et, l'ajout de l'auto rachat ). Le but est de faire disparaître ce besoin de multiplier les pactes pour ne pas risquer de se retrouver incapable de rejoindre une région !)
je voulais dire que les couleurs sont très bien car ceux qui ont des problèmes de vue distinguent bien les icônes et nations. Donc merci !
Je veux juste appuyer ce qu'a dit Eleanide. Ce qui est très important à mes yeux, c'est le contraste. Je constate que beaucoup d'icônes ont de plus en plus de contraste permettant de mieux voir l'objet. Donc, pour moi, à poursuivre !
Si vous me le permettez, j'aimerais que la liste des pactes soit aussi complète que je l'ai toujours eu avec des descriptions.
Ceci est prévu dans ma liste de tâches, pour se comporter comme la liste courante dans le sac, mais plus condensée.
J'ai utilisé l'interface quelques fois. Ça a l'air bien, pas beaucoup de retours à donner, c'est cool d'utilisation.
Je l'utilise depuis le lendemain du patch, et à part un TP perdu, c'est cool à utiliser. Bon boulot !

Le message en canal Alentours et en canal Région est un peu dit bizarrement.
Je pense que ce changement s'est produit dans le contexte d'un fil de discussion lancé par Revvy. Le but était d'inviter des homins à faire du jeu de rôle (Role Play ou RP) et d'expliquer un peu ce qu'est le RP, etc. Cependant, l'intro en Alentours dit juste : "ok ici quelques personnes RP" et ça ne va pas aussi loin qu'il le faudrait. Je suis également d'accord qu'il y a quelques erreurs mais je sais que certaines corrections ont déjà été proposées.
Tamarea et un Lorist travaillent sur ce sujet, pour l'instant nous avons ajouté l'introduction. Nous n'avons pas oublié la demande originale, c'est en cours de réalisation.
En fr, je trouve que les phrases sont sympa
(à propos de la suggestion d'ajouter des liens vers des messages) Plutôt qu'une description individuelle pour tous les canaux, ce serait bien un lien vers le forum pour l'expliquer.
L'ajout de la description du jeu de rôle est dans les "Travaux en cours" (comme indiqué précédemment), l'équipe de communication et la lore sont dessus. Il n'y a pas de message sur les canaux de langue parce que les règles sont les mêmes que pour l'Uni général. Les joueurs sont assez intelligents pour le comprendre. Les messages d'annonces sont également envoyé dans l'info Système. Bien, merci de votre participation, je vous laisse débattre sur le forum. ( Je lis tous les posts dans la section idée pour Ryzom.

A brief word on the progress of the new group working on Ryzom wikis: the contributors are now "clearing" the wikis: they are searching, sorting, reflecting, organizing. It is a long preparatory work but very promising for the future! They will tell you more about it at a future meeting.

Ryzom used to be about freedom of choice. A player, choosing their own destiny, their own style of play etc. Now, new Ryzom: Seems to be more about Ryzom dictating to players.For example, every reward seems to be Gubani Tokens, but what about players who don't want to play the Gubani wheel? RP rewards, what about players that don't want to get involved in RP etc. Dapper missions, it used to take 30 minutes to earn dapper, then you were free to do what you enjoy. Now, to get the same dapper you need to do 13 Corporal missions.To offer a suggestion : maybe it would be useful to put some effort into completing some of the unfinished Rites or Encyclopaedia missions.
Were you able to test it from the fixing patch earlier?
I can't cause artefact disappeared since reboot.
There was a problem with the artifact, but normally everything came back in order... except for those who logged in at the time of the bug, like you two.
I was able to test it a little bit, it works pretty well, but I get scared at first. I didn't immediately understand that it only buys back the *last* TP. On the other hand, if we could have the names of the TPs in the interface rather than in popup, it would be ideal.
What do you think of the new saturation of the icon colors?
Nice job for me. I have some regrets on the tryker blue that turns grey, but nothing excessive.
French said it's nice.
I strongly dislike the grey that has replaced tryker blue.

This integration is currently being tested on Yubo and will soon be tested on Atys by players who volunteer to participate in a "DeepL Test Hour".
The following changes in delivery missions are intended to offset the loss of nation (civ) points awards previously granted by New Horizons:Decrease in weight of parcels to deliverDecrease to 8 hours of the time limit imposed for the repetition of the same missionIncrease in rewards granted in lower level areas (100-150 regions)
To help players find a particular NPC, we will add a "Where is... ?" to the dialog box of ALL NPCs.In order to encourage players to increase the number of their missions (as earnings have been significantly increased) the help function to find other NPCs entrusting missions will be added.

And to give another way to obtain crystals than just delivering parcels?A: For the other missions (this was one of the topics of the last Ryzom Forge meeting) the repetition times have indeed been greatly increased, but so have the gains! In any case, yes, our plan is to highlight ALL of Atys' missions, to make them more attractive.

I think that that may have been the goal, Loved; to rid Ryzom of players like you and I who have better things to do than just run around "exploring" a place we already explored repeatedly, who like freedom, and/or who simply did not come here to be treated like second-class citizens.

The changes seem well intentioned, just a little hamfisted. They definitely need tweaking. I agree that right now, there is no point in doing crafting missions compared to hunting or digging ones. That needs to be adjusted. Same with faction point rewards. I don't know about overseer missions in cities, since I obviously can't do those, but tribe prospector missions are great. It's not difficult to make a million dappers in 20 minutes once you know where to dig mission mats. Don't get me wrong, I was upset by the changes as well, at first. But then I figured out that they're really not *that* bad.

Like say some days ago, changes on mission will be done step by step, hard to balance it correctly in a single shot.We are working on it, and will apply some fixes soon.About craft mission, the way to give dappers are different than all other missions.The missions give the cost in dappers of the crafted items. So to adjust that we need change it, calculate the cost of each items and apply a bonus.But will not enough, since some missions ask to craft 1 ammo.. for sure we can't reward this missions with 100k of dappers. So, some missions must be adjusted into objetives too.About replay timer, since we can't change each mission one by one we have apply a formula to calculate the cooldown based on the reward. We will rework the formula to have something more easy like for example 10h, 15h, 20h or 30h and not X hours and Y mins
