I do not understand your grid Ekoh. What are the labels for the rows?

If it is predicated on knowing if a q100 OP mat came out of the ground or was made from q50's, that is against all reason. The reason we are combining mats is to make ones that are indistinguishable from the ones that come out of the ground.

I've made this grid with Zagh's comment in mind, but you're right, counting transmutation is confusing and unneeded.

So only first row is useful, with a little change.

| 50 > 100 | 100 > 150 | 150 > 200 | 200 > 250 |
| 75% | 57% | 43% | 33% |

I persist in thinking that an unnatural matter must behave differently from a natural matter, especially in terms of fragility.

An advantage must be maintained in having a high-level outpost.

For me the idea is simple. The more one transmutes a natural matter to increase it in quality and the more it will be subject to destruction. Hence the interest of having a cross table as presented by Ekoh following my answer.

That's mean that it'll be added 80 derivated mats for the 8 OP mats, it's substantial !

1 Mats q50 1 original
2 Mats q100 1 original + 1 transmuted
3 Mats q150 1 original + 2 transmuted
4 Mats q200 1 original + 3 transmuted
5 Mats q250 1 original + 4 transmuted

Unless it's possible to add as a descriptive information the number of mats transmutation.
