Code of conduct, III. Rules (http://app.ryzom.com/app_forum/index.php?page=topic/view/21885/3 )
4 - Kill stealing

Killing a mob which is already being attacked by another player or group of players, is considered as kill stealing and is prohibited. This also applies to whole spawns of mobs.

I read this as in if one is fighting mobs, anyone who comes to fight the mobs in same spawn is breaking CoC now. I get feeling that this rule could use some editing, since practically everybody have shared the most convinient spawns. Opinnions?

Le spot "appartient" à celui qui s'entraîne dessus. Si on veut le partager on peut mais il faut protéger les joueurs qui veulent rester tranquilles tout seuls. C'est au joueur qui était là le premier de décider...

Common courtesy dictates that if there are plentiful mobs in a particular area then there are enough to share. Common sense dictates that the quicker a spawn is killed, the sooner they respawn and the sooner everyone can go back to gaining XP. Combine those two and the end result is that some of the popular spawns (particularly Cratchas and Kinchers in Void) actually go better (more XP/hr) with two homins/teams sharing a spawn. Of course, it should go without saying that it's polite to ask, but it's seldom that you'll be told "No" without good reason except by the sort of people you really don't want to be anywhere near in the first place.

"First come, first served" is not only the official rule, but also good manners. The fact that some people cannot be bothered to adhere to either the unwritten rules of polite society or the Laws of Atys (the CoC) does not mean that the written rules should be changed to benefit the sociopaths. It only means that there needs to be stricter enforcement.

So I say no, keep that part of the CoC as-is. The only time it ever becomes relevant is when someone is acting in a manner that deserves some CSR/GM sanctions anyways.

Do not assume that you speak for all just because you are the loudest voice; there are many who disagree that simply have no desire to waste words on you.

if i came across a team doing let say, jabs, then i'd check the "downtime" between kills, if killing 1 jab took relatively long then the mob spawn isn't being utilized effectively, i'd then ask them if i could join in on the spawn.

I would say the CoC should reflect more on whether or not you joining in on the spawn would significantly diminish the original teams gains.
The CoC should automatically allow spawn sharing (imo) as long as you are not disruptive or slow down the original team significantly, like: your kill speed, not looting corpses, tagging their targets (tho accidents happen)

I have shared many a spawn in Void (and other places such as Loria Ponds).  I simply ask if I might share,  and have never been told that I could not share.  Often I get healing from one of the other team (I hunt solo) and I thank them.

If someone and their alts/friends think to monopolize the Najab spawn of 8 in Void, and refuse to share, I rather think that I might call upon the CSRs to chastise them for being greedy and spoiling the game for others.  Then I would *not* do so, but just let them be small and find something else to hunt.

Being 2 groups on 8 GN spot ... is a waste of time anyway unless you pex solo and the other group heals you.
Same situation goes with Jugulas btw

This is the way it works now (when everybody is respectfull and nice as they usually are). If I understand this part of CoC, it's saying this kind of behaviour is not ok. I'm not saying the idea behind should be changed, but to clarify what it means. If I'm pulling one mob, killing it slowly and full team comes into spot and is respectfull, they're breaking CoC now which seems odd to me.

And CoC says otherwise now, why I'm thinking there should be change of wording there. CoC is the ultimate guideline in game as I understand. It's the "rules" and if practical way is even against it like in this example, I think more clarification is needed.

This is what I was thinking when I posted this =). If you go to spawn where there is someone, look what they are doing and if you think you can be there without "harming" that/those who was there, you should have every right to be on that spot too. Again, IMO on all what I say ;)
