Allowing unsubscribed players to continue playing with restrictions - IDEAS FOR RYZOM

I saw this in one of the previous Ryzom forge meeting logs:

5 Study: unsubscribed players free to play
A study is underway to see if it would be possible to allow unsubscribed players to continue to play, but with temporary limitations of the free trial (blocking levels and bricks to 125, etc). Characters regain their original level to resubscribe.

Is this idea still being considered? Will it be implemented? I really hope so! It would be nice to be able to drop by for events every now and again with your main character even if he's not subscribed at the moment. And it would encourage more new players to subscribe if they know they won't be stuck with the subscription forever.
