There are a few people on Ryzom who legitimately can break dance from the focus beta group.

There is also quite a few people who were not part of the focus beta group that can break dance.

Why not let everyone break dance?

At special events suprise gifts are given away that allow you to break dance too. However, you are limited to 2 last time they were given out. I have 1 left :(

I think you answered your own question Nehrie - because we earned it.

I'd be more in favour of not diminishing the efforts that the FBT players put in by allowing other players access to the break dance.

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

I think it would be great if only the people who earned it were break dancing. But people who have been playing for only three years are also break dancing and not with just those surprises we received at Christmas either.

I just think it's unfair that people who are able to hack a piece of code or get someone's numbers off their original application can break dance.

So what you end up with is Elders who legitimately can break dance and those who are able to break dance another way.

The staff doesn't seem to be able to stop these people that aren't supposed to be able to break from break dancing so why not let all of us do it.

Besides you've been rewarded 12 years for something that was an accident you received in the first place.

If a small minority is cheating, the response shouldn't be to just give everyone else access, just to even the playing field. The response should be a banhammer on the cheaters. And if support won't stop it, maybe public pressure will do it?

It's just a cosmetic thing, get over it. They're not gaining any gameplay advantage over others. If anything, it's a very small reward for the beta testers ☺

In order... only the anti-social ones, RNG is random, noobs cannot beat multi-masters in PvP making it moot, since when, and such entitlement.

I dug supernodes when I was a new player....anyone can when they train PR dig hard enough. Plenty of people gave me recipes or taught me about crafting as well. You just gotta be nice to people to get help. I think there are some good learning resources out there but perhaps putting them all in one place for new players might help them find those resources. Boss respawns....its mostly luck and persistence. As for the break dancing, I'm jealous too! ;)

So report them rather than just spread rumours. As Mj says, name and shame them. Provide facts not hearsay.

Accident? Where do you get that idea from? The break dance and the title were given to Focus Beta Testers as our reward for giving our time and testing under strict guidelines to help make the game you're playing. It wasn't an accident we got it.

That's why we have guilds and people in game can help each other.
Take time to discover on your own and learn from others, that's the better way to have a long life on Atys :)

Why do you want it ? it brings nothing in terms of gameplay... it's just a nice thing to have and makes some homins specials ... it's like complaining about no free burgers at burger king when they open a new shop and come few months after the opening ...
