So this is just a Thread to see what people think.

Personally, I know of no such place to give the event team constructive positive or negative feed back on events.

I know that with the current event, the "normal" rules of tps has been changed, making it difficult to do some missions if you have no interest in the event.

Guess I would like to see a feed back section for the event team. Put it in the in game forums, cause most people think about those things while in game and we have to many forums and web pages as it is already.

Your alls thoughts?

Events influence all of Atys, they can make things harder or easier as a result.
That's what a dynamic world is all about, and is a good thing.
These things are always temporary (though I'd not mind some events have permanent impact, as long as that impact is not to make things impossible, like the Gibbai event which essentially made Fleeting Garden impossible for people with the levels to hunt and dig there, wouldn't want that to be permanent), and people understand that (sometimes after it being pointed out it's for an event).

If anything I'd like to see more of that.

What I would comment on is running the same event (water caravan from Fairhaven to Pyr) twice in a row.
Even if it ran slightly differently (I wasn't there, but people who were said so) the announcements and descriptions were so similar that a lot of people just didn't care to take part (thus the caravan didn't have the capacity required the second time around).
While it can be understood why a second caravan would be needed in the context of the lore and rp, that doesn't necessarilly make it a good idea to run it so close to the first one (and remember that a lot of people didn't feel like spending dappers on more packers just to free them again after reaching the desert, no doubt also a factor, I know several who took part without packers for that reason).

Overall the event team is doing a good job (and I'd love to see more of them) but the timing on this one so close to another seemingly identical event was unfortunate.

REMOVE THE TRIBES FROM THE WATER EVENT. YOUR MAKING IT HARDER FOR NEW PLAYERS TO LEVEL / ENJOY THE GAME, THEY CANT EVEN DIG IN DYRON.

i dont care where they are moved to, hell put them in scorched corridor around the kami TP, DP's dont mean anything to me, but newbies not being able to dig or level is wrong

I agree with Nit, its just like the kitin invasion, it cant be fun for the Noobies who 1 cant get to the lakes to do the water carrier missions, 2 cant protect themselves against tribes and 3 they dont need to be doing occupation missions at low levels noobies should be focused on getting skills leveled not running around in the kitin lair getting max DP. The Kitin invasion was the same way if you arent high leveled your skrewed. You cant take on a tribe or fend for yourself... Too bad. We want the game to be more populated not drop all our new players. I think if you want to get newer players involved in events you should MAKE SOME THEY CAN ACTUALLY DO. And what is the point of an Akenak (player government) if we have no say so? i ask to have the tribes removed and i get a "im sure you can handle it, good luck" That is why i am not running again.

No problem for the water carrier missions, as those aren't located in the desert :)
There are no cute tribes in Winds of Muse attacking anyone around the lake there, just sometimes Torkan in EI where the water tower is located in his spawn site.

Yes, these tribes and frahar make things harder. But they aren't everywhere, you can still level and dig.

You've wanted new content for a long time, now you have it :)
I was surprised to be attacked by guards as I ran to Dyron from the kara tp yesterday, but could have taken a detour and arrived unscathed (as it was, I made it safely if with some bruises and scrapes).

The fact that they're still there is a clear indication that the event isn't over yet, there's more in store for the desert dwellers.

Desert dwellers who never complained when a far larger concentration of Gibbai and marauders took control over Upper Bog, Fleeting Garden, and parts of Majestic Garden and Heretics Hovel for over a week, making it next to impossible to do anything in those areas.

The Kitin Invasion affected all of Atys equally, leaving no place safe for homins to dwell.
These event spawns only affect parts of Atys, in this case only areas in the burning desert.
Newbies can't level? The entire northern and southern parts of Ofla Oasis are unaffected (I've checked them out), there's tons of digging you can do in Frahar Towers and Flaming Forest.
And that's just in the burning desert, there has been no effect of this event on the other regions.

Any newcomer who feels he's hampered by the tribal and frahar presence in Ofla oasis, I offer to help trek to elsewhere where the lvl100 zones are no different from normal and a welcome change of scenery to them.

gratz you can trek every newbie in the desert, bunch of blahblahblah in your posts as usual.

First let me state, that the point of this thread has been missed. I created this thread with the intent of trying to see if we could get enough interest to create a feedback section for the event team, but there are hints of this scattered in post, which I find refreshing.

Secondly iala, the event may not hinder some things in the desert, but if a new player is trying to increase his/her fame with the Fyros, for the purpose of gaining Civ items, the task becomes extremely difficult to do in a timely manner. Yes other events may have had a similar effect on other areas of atys, and nothing may have been said, but did you stop to think that possibly members of the community see a trend they do not like and are making their opinion know to the event team now, so that possible future events can be altered for the greater good?

While not the true intent of starting this thread, this is the type thing I see being needed. How else can the event team know what the players like or don't like about events

#9 Report | Quote[en]

without feed back. As Lili said, the game is suppose to have player run government, therefore, players should have a means to affect the game and events that happen.

I am not saying I don't like seeing the events, and in general I enjoy them, but I would like to be able to give more input than is currently available without being a part of the team.

The players influenced the way in which the drought was handled.
The drought caused the tribes to congregate on remaining water sources.

I guess when the supply of water to the tribes is secured through driving more wells or something, a decision the Akenak can press with the emperor, the tribes will likely remain restless.

Consider their actions a response to a natural disaster, natural disasters of course aren't under the control of the government (however much governments and pressure groups seem to think they are).

What did you ask and to whom?

Being an Akenak doesn't matter for the event team, and the Senate has no control over the tribes. But the Akenak really should be able to request the Senate to have the Fyros army clear these tribes out.

#12 Report | Quote[en]

I asked Senator Dios to issue a warrant for the arrest of the tribes. Either they clear out of the area or they will be removed, The Senator said they wont go without force, I said I did not want it to have to be forceful but i cannot have people being attacked, especially the very people trying to help us. And to that i get Well i leave it in your hands, good luck i have things to do.

So the Senate refuses to have the army remove the tribes then. Thanks for the clarification :)

Having the Army Remove the tribes forcefully would most probably cause a civil war in the desert. But having the army patrol and arrest the hostiles who attack homins that are just passing by might just do good.

It's alright to protect the water from the predators and frahars, but not from the other desert dwellers that have the right to circulate around Dyron without getting attacked for no valid reason.

There should be water delivery missions from the lakes to the desert tribes, and quotas to be filled, just like when we were building the towers and feeding the troops... that's what being a water carrier is all about, right ?

It was interesting seeing how the tribes bombed me from one end of Dyron pond to the other leaving me with about 10 hp by the time I ran out of the water and headed for the boathouse. Water is definitely not a safe haven anymore.
