Hello All, as a player the new idea for raising the level cap is a foolish idea. Raising the level cap would mean losing alot of players, nobody wants to have to Remaster a skill, infact alot of people were very upset with the thought...However there are alot of complaints and begging for new content such as new clothes, new player content, new hairstyles ect, Would it not be more productive to add new content and keep players interested rather than raising the level cap and losing some? This is just a suggestion and i hope to see players leave comments with either for or against it. And Who knows maybe if we get enough players that support it we can get new content, new outfits ect, also maybe leaving suggestions as to what you would want might help the devs see what we are looking for :)
Thanks, Liliang

Agree. Raising the cap is a bad idea. Give us more sand in the box, please.

I would really hate for a raised level cap i would most likely leave game it has taken me so long to get my masters. I would love to see some new content.
Maybe we could be able to let friend into our apartments and/or be able to decorate our apartments and Guild Halls.

Yea, I agree with you guys. I don't think raising the level cap is a good idea, the way to go is adding new content.

However, I think folks are missing an important point here. That's exactly what the devs just did with the occupations. =P

There was an announcement that they intended to raise the level cap in 2010 and players criticized that decision a lot - rightly so in my opinion (at least they did in Arispotle, not sure about the other shards).

And then we're halfway through 2010 and the major patch we got was exactly what players asked for, new content and not an increase in the lvl cap. And hey, I happen to really like the new occupations! And after the last patch practically all bugs were fixed. So I applaud the devs on this one.

Sure, the idea of a lvl cap increase might still be stored somewhere or maybe even being worked on, but what they mentioned for the next patch was a revamp on PvP, nothing about new levels. So it seems like they DID listen to us and gave us new content. Give credit where it's due and all.

As for what _additional_ new content I'd like to see implemented... I'd have to go with revamped player housing. It's the one single thing I think is still missing in Ryzom. At the very least being able to decorate and invite other players into your apartment, but preferably being able to build walk-in social buildings such as bars, shops and the like. Those could be built in housing instances or maybe in the empty space of OPs.

An increase in the level cap in combination with new content to go with it (new zones to explore etc.) would work.
If all that's done is add another continent, with new skins on the same mobs at the same levels, all the people now complaining about the lack of content would have maybe a day before they're bored exploring it, at most another 2-3 weeks before they're bored of camping the bosses there.

It'd not be a challenge to them. New clothed ditto. People will try them for a week or so, settle on a style (just as they do now with the choices we have, which imo aren't overall bad at all), and complain that there's no new content.

were not complaining iala you always jump to the wrong conclusion ! we were having a discussion and thought would be good for peeps to add there ideas to what they thought they would like .
So Please STOP!!! being so negative about every thing people type.

Hmm, mixed feelings on this thread, and there are 2 sides to every coin.

Raising the lvl cap has both pros and cons.

Cons first:
Raising the cap, may "run people off". This is a possibility, but not a nessicary fact.
People will have to re-master skills.

Pros:
If done right, Raising the lvl cap can bring the new content we all crave. More skills could be added, new branches to the skill set tree, etc.
A raised cap could bring players back to the game, because now they have something to do, making the game "feel more alive" again.

If I had to make a choice right now, I would probably say that a cap raise is a bad idea, given previous attempts at new content by the Devs, but the occupations does give hope that it could be done in a manner which would benieft the game. But no matter what action is taken, some people are going to leave the game, because it is impossible to make everyone happy. The Devs will take the game in the direction they see fit to take it, and we have little control over that, and

if we are to believe that they are going to raise the cap as they say, then we should do our best to push them to do it right, and in a manner which gives us all what we want.

Personally i think raising the Lvl cap is a bad idea , I know for myself i don't want to dig another 300 Lvls especially in the forest (shakes fist at Zatchel) ,and PR as well .

I like the idea of Apt and inviting people in . It's an idea that has been discussed among players for a long time . As was stated people are busy with the occupations and alot are enjoying themselves which is a good thing :)

People will always find something to whine about wether its lack of content or Armor choices ,colors etc. The main thing is just to enjoy the game , If i wasn't having fun doing what im doing i wouldnt be here .

Edit: Also would like to see them revive the encyclopidia missions .

Don't twist my words out of context, Khandy. It doesn't suit you and you're not as good at it by far as are some others.
If you take what I write as meaning you personally, so be it, but that's not how it was intended or I'd have mentioned your name.

As is, there are people who'd complain about any and every change as well as the lack of such change.
That's all I indicated, do with it as you please.
I for one will give the devs the benefit of the doubt and hope they come up with something that will please the greatest number of people while causing as few as possible to terminate their accounts (hopefully indeed fewer than those who come new or renew as a consequence of whatever the devs come up with).

If done well, raising the level cap would be nice. And by well I mean in combination with new skills to employ, new areas to use those skills in that offer a challenge to even the most seasoned (current) master, things that keep people occupied and interested for more than a few days or weeks of grinding.

*Hugs Khandy* It's ok. I agree I don't think the level cap being raised is a good Idea. Keep in mind that a newbie like Lalala thinks it would be good because they havent worked out 18 craft masters or more *tips hat to other multimaster crafters*. I personally would feel ripped off if I had to rework 18+ crafts alone not counting my lands, melee and and magic levels. You do understand Lalala that this mean some people would lose 25, 30, 40 or more master levels??? I mean, yeah coming from a noobie this sounds good to you, but I have nearly 5 years invested here. What would people who have been here longer and accomplished more feel like? Really think about that.

I am just a spring chicken myself, I only have a few master and im in the process of getting my DA and OA masters, if the level cap was raised and i to remaster Nuke,Two Handed sword, Heal, jungle dig, and Axe i would lose my mind. And for Nitrouss, Nit has mastered ever melee and magic and ranged for him, it my be a blessing giving him something to do, but i doubt that he want to remaster crafts for sure. Its a 2 way street, It would lose some people and perhaps spart the interest of others. I would personally like to see more of the way the game was intended to be from the original Devs. I played this game, my Father played this game, my older brother has played all during its glory days and now they want nothing to do with it because it wasnt what they had hoped for. Reguardless of the fack i enjoy the game, i do think the level cap is a bad idea.
