glad you found a way to get it working drekai.

wonderful news Karu, but i think drekai was using one of the beta clients already, is there a more exact beta version that it was fixed in? (because any version after that one should also have that fix {and with each newer revision more fixes along with that one})

(i believe that when i directed drekai to the beta clients he started with ryzom_client_static_osx_2.1.0.7010.zip 32.301498 MB - 2016-01-18 22:26:51 which at the time was the newest one)

It was fixed in ryzom core client 2015-01-09.

Hello!

oh wow, that being said, drekai was encountering an error with a beta client that was previously fixed, perhaps we need to look at another possible cause given that it should be working in all versions of the beta clients.

drekai, could you possibly give us more details on the mac OS version, hardware, ect? that might help to narrow down what's causing this problem for you.

Currently on the latest mac OS with a full size wired keyboard... same results on both airbook and imac which is a dual core i5. NOTE: Yes I have gone into mac keyboard settings and told it to use function keys as normal and not mac functions. Also NOTE: the key bindings and macros all work fine on everything EXCEPT the stanza bars... they will not switch to another bar without clicking on the arrows... it's only that function that won't work. I have found a way around this by using shortcut bar 2. This is the only way to have actions on more then one bar work. There is just no way to switch bars for me using keys or macros. At least my protections are always visible on Shortcut bar 2, so this will work for me.

Because different sources have different versions you should mention version number here.

You can see version number briefly on top-right corner when ryzom start up or you can read it from first lines from client.log. Delete old log file before running client to get fresh file.

Hello!

Thank you! When I start Ryzom on pc it says Version 2.1.0 in the upper right corner. On the mac it says 2.0.0, even though I have downloaded the latest mac version it says that. I hope I did it right... I downloaded just the one mac file and put the contents in the Ryzom folder. Is that the correct procedure?

as far as i knew it was, but if it's not telling you 2.x.x.xxxx somethings not right, because the mac is still running the official client, and if the pc version only says 2.1.0, it's also still only running the offical one.

did you remember to make new shortcuts for the beta client exe? on pc, in the ryzom folder, find "ryzom_client_r.exe" and right click, choose "send to desktop (creates shortcut on desktop)" to create a new shortcut on the desktop

for mac i'm not 100% sure how programs are launched, or if there's even an exe, but i'm sure a mac guru can help on that part.

newest NON-Beta mac client should be 2.1.0 too... try to reinstall normal client, check that it is 2.1.0 and then retry installing kervala's

check that tutorial for getting 2.1.0: http://app.ryzom.com/app_forum/index.php?page=post/view/146401
