I think Guild Leaders should be able to invite non guildmembers into the Guild Hall. (Multiple choices allowed.)

It struck me just the other day, that if we have guilds then we should have meetings of Guild Leaders, and that the most natural place for Guild Leaders to meet is in the Guild Hall of one Guild Leader of prominence and probity, there to discuss things of consequence.

Therefore, I think that it should be possible for the Guild Leader of a Guild to invite other people, not of his or her guild to visit the Guild Hall, just as homins may invite other homins to visit their apartments. The advantages for interesting roleplay are obvious -- competition to be the guild that hosts a meeting, choice of room within the guildhall to hold the meeting in, possibilities of secret deals out of earshot of spies, etc.

Clearly the storage shelves would not be available for use, only for viewing (boasting).

I have no idea how easy/hard this would be. I know that the access to guild storage and apartment storage are managed differently.

Anyway, there it is -- an idea. === Bittty

i've supported this idea in the past, not something i'd be likely to use myself, but it wouldn't affect my game play so it's a valid option in my mind. i'm always willing to support things that give more choices to the player :)

Why not ?

But I think there's other thinks more important to do..
For me, for ex, I would like to ignore people who flood from megacorp ;)

I can't see a good reason to do this, however easy or hard it is to impliment.  Allowing non-guild members into a Guildhall just seems wrong.

Guild Leaders can meet in any number of places, some of which will satisfy status anxieties (Royal Palace etc.).  A quiet corner of a 250 zone if you *need * privacy will suffice and use Around to talk.

I would like an option to host an "open gates" kind of event. So, yes, please give us the option :)

There are times I have wished to invite a non-guild member into my GH. I have wanted to do this.

I don't think it has to be limited to power guild or most popular guild. I want it in my GH too.

Oh and I would love to be able to ignore people from Megacorp. It seems totally unfair they can come through mc and disrupt the game.

I am much in favor of this proposal, and think it could help a lot in roleplay. At the moment, the only possibility of private meetings are invitations into apartments. For purposes like factional events concerning a larger number of people, the possibility to invite into a guild hall would be a good thing, and would allow more usage of the multiple rooms of a guild. It would also add atmosphere to player and factional events and roleplay. Maybe it should be possible to issue invitations to whole guilds, or even a ligue.

Sure, this is not of highest priority, but could be helpful. E.g. there is an ongoing event in the forest concerning national guilds. For that, it would be natural that the participants gather in the location of one of the leading guilds.

I am not sure how hard it would be to add mass invitations (was just an idea), but adding individual invitations should not be hard or overly complex.

I can envision a scenario perhaps homins can approach someone elses GH and they request to be let in where

"So and so from [another guild] is knocking on the door, Do you want to let him in?"

Then if someone is inside, they can let him in. If nobody is inside, then the homin gets a message: "No answer, apparently nobody is home."

What if instead you could book a private meeting room in the palace that is invite only and has its own chat channel.

I feel that there are so many under utilized areas of any city in the game that this should not be implemented. I was running around the cities yesterday and found so many cool areas that I thought would be good meeting places just for this. So i do not think it is worth the time.

It is a good idea for maybe the future though.
