Yay! :D

Got a chance to play with this a bit.

I doubted it would work for me, since I'm not on Windows, but it seems to be working fine for me if I run it using Wine! (Sorry for running your lovely program in a such non-ideal environment, but hey, at least it works!)

It's super easy to look through all my landmarks now! It was easy to notice and correct a few mislabeled markers while just browsing my marker list, and I can confirm my edits appear in my in-game map. Also I can look at my Silan landmarks now! nostalgia... :3

I only used this program while logged out, I'm assuming that's what I should do?

It took a bit of time(maybe 20s? less than a minute) for LandmarksEditor to load my markers, but they did load (so if you're reading this, maybe give it a moment to load before trying to debug your install). This load-time might just be an effect of running it through wine.

The export/import to XML also seems to be working fine for me so far, from one test.

Here's my very brief installation story in pictures:

Mirakel, do you want to make a new post specifically for LandmarksEditor? I'd like to add a link to it on the first post in this topic, and I imagine you might want a dedicated place to post updates, have people ask questions, that sort of thing. Up to you :) I'll add a link within this topic for now.

Edit: And by "new post" I mean "new topic" or "new thread" ... I can use words good ... :P

Thx Carmy for your testing :)

[1] i havent tested on Wine but its great to hear it works.
The only requirement to get the tool running is .NET Framework 4 (or maybe higher <- havent tested)

[2] thx for mentioning. u only should edit the markers of characters not logged into the game cause if u leave the game, the icfg file will be replaced by the game and all ur edits are rolled back

[3] the long loading time seems to be a problem of wine. on regular windows (im using Win 7 Pro x64 and Win 8.1 Pro x64) its loaded immediately

Everone has an opinion, and of course are entitled to have one, but others are equally entitled to decide whether they choose to agree or disagree. Acting like a complete Muppet isn't likely going to change minds or win support :)

We are Working on a new Bunny Tool, that basically duplicates this utility.  Plans are:

1.  Export landmarks files to an xls file

2.  Spell Check, Organize. re-order, edit attributes, etc

Options being Considered:

1.  Export back to xml file.

2.  Export individual lines to xml file

3.  Export to On-Line Map

4.  Export Flags from Map to IG xml file
