O.K., This post is rather old now with there being lots of new updates to the Client and experience learned installing it, but i still don't understand how to do it.
I am running version 2.0.0 still and using mac osx 10.9.5.
Eventually i want to run the latest versions of OSX, but first i want to get the latest version of Ryzom up and running.
Can someone please explain to me step by step how to do this so it is a little more clearer or appropriate for my situation? I'm not sure i understand Placio's explanation in regaurds to the current versions and updates now.
Thank you :)

Download http://ryzom.kervala.net/clients/ryzom_client_static_full_osx_3.0 .0.7521.7z extract with unarchiver, keka or any tool you prefer. Click on the Ryzom icon, have fun...

No need to patch individual stuff, download the complete package. Just have to copy your settings, if you *really* want to. If you are noob, just recreate macros and key settings...

Thanks Arcueid,
O.K., I did this. And i have found the same thing is happening to me as Placio's comment above in comment #24. When it tries to Verify it, it says it is damaged and needs to be moved to the trash. Why is it doing this?
(Plus, it appears there is a newer client/update on Kervala's site, btw).
Also, im not such a noob player, i have many macros and settings so i would like to know how to save them all to the newer client, i saved my save folder items according to Fateciy's post, Forums>Tech support/Web Apps Bugs>Mutual Mac>Mac copying Save Data.
Thanks :)

P.S. I have two clients (2.0.0 ) on my dock that i play my main toon with an alt sometimes, i do not know if these are causing any problems with the new client??

System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Under General tab -> Unlock (press the little icon on left bottom) so you can make changes -> change the "Allow apps downloaded from" option to "Anywhere".

(Once you get Ryzom to open. You can get back to your old settings.)

As for your Macro question:
Tiximei

...

3. If you want to copy your settings to the new client, go to /User/user_name/Library/Containers/com.winchgate.Ryzom/Data/Libra ry/Application Support/Ryzom, in that folder select all and copy it.
4. Before doing the next step make sure that Ryzom is closed.
5. Go to /User/user_name/Library/Application Support/Ryzom and paste all in here.
6. Now launch the new Ryzom and all your settings should be the same.

...

Hope my post helped.

Woot! It seems to be working now :P Thanks guys! Taking it for a test run and best part: I have sound turned back on! Lets see how long it takes to crash.....

Yep, I recently added a full static client under OS X and Win64, so you just need to download that and it'll patch automatically when a new patch is released :)

You don't need to manually update each new client :)

I tried downloading the full static client because I am not very handy with all the manual update system, but when I try to open it, it says : "Ryzom is damaged and can't be opened, you should move it to trash"

Any solutions? Do I have something to do with the old client to update it?

Thanks for your help!

So 1 effect i have noticed with the new client is a very small bit of lag in movements.

Some may be able to tolerate it, but i would rather have more speed than graphics. I changed all settings under graphics settings and nothing seemed to work, except.... I closed in on 'Enabling FXAA,' under Graphics>Special Effects. This seemed to fix the lag. I know it is best to have it on for good smooth edges, but I guess i will have to go back to playing with the same graphics i had before the upgrade. :/

I upgraded my OS to El Capitan (10.11.5), and am using the latest static client for Ryzom (3.0.0.7652)

Je viens de mettre à jour, impeccable très très beau boulot je suis fan et j'ai l'impression d'un mieux graphique.

Pour ceux que ça intéresse ci après ma config :
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)
Mémoire 4 Go 1333 MHz DDR3
Processeur 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5
21.5 pouces, mi-2011

The 3.0 OS X client seems to crash less than the Mac App Store 2.0 client in terms of teleporting.

One major problem though is mouse turning. If you hold down right click and move the mouse to turn your character while running, the turning is super choppy.

This also occurs in the steam 3.0 client.

The 2.0 app store client doesn't have this issue. FYI.

Thanks for all the work!
