Will also add there is a craft simulator: Kipeecraft. You can use this to test out different recipes and whilst it isnt 100% accurate it is still very helpful. Hopefully someone can post a link as I have forgotten it.

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.
Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

gid, note on mara LA sets, it's 45 kills to get a set of mara LA, and i have no idea how many kills as a solo player to get a set of HA.

Speaking of the "normal" ingame crafting, is there a need for a crafting tutorial? Explaining basic concepts, some tips and tricks and if there is enough interest the math behind it all. I would take up the task and write my experience and understanding of the craft system down for fellow crafters and new players.Do you think this would help more people to pick up crafting or do the opposide and remove the "mystery" there is? I'd love to hear the general opinion before investing time into this project.arc

Unless you plan to spoil any interesting recipe, I think a hands-on tutorial about mats affecting each other would be awesome, Arc.
