Many people have been complaining that there were too many boards to visit and register to in order to be up to date with the current Ryzom News, Feedback and RP event.

With this Forum App, the most popular sections from http://forums.ryzom.com are also present on these ingame boards, yet character's alignment and shard limitation prevent us from seeing what's going on in some other invisible sections.

Also, one MUST have an active (trial ?) account to be able to log on to these app forums.

Some people expressed the concern that separating these boards from the RP ones might be harmful to the RP forums' activity. Can it be harmful to http://forums.ryzom.com 's activity as well ?

Should the Ryzom API Team focus on centralizing all the boards into a single app so it's all accessable from inside and outside the game with some parts viewable by everyone ? Logging in with an active character account would then only be necessary in order to access the more private zones or to post/comment on the various boards.

As someone who read the boards, even when not having a valid account (didn't have a computer that could play Ryzom), I have to agree that that is an important part. Don't let them post, but atleast let them read. As for the rest, I haven't noticed it much, but then again, I haven't had much time to RP in a while, so it could have just slipped me by.

Maybe I shouldn't point it out because I may lose access once I do, but I don't have an active account. Yes I know I put myself at risk using the web app but I have an addiction to feed still and this works for now :P

Maybe it's intended... Maybe it isn't. Would be nice if people could keep in touch with their guildies even if they take a break from the game or can't afford a sub anymore.

I actually hope all forums are merged here. I like the Forum being "in game" (just cant wait for it to become more active) and think this is a good move in the right direction... When I am waiting toi "heal up" I can simply pop in here and browse around- Pretty cool if you ask me.

I just dont really understand what the notepad is for (lol- taking notes obviously, but with no way to filter them or categorize them it makes good ol pen and paper more convienient)

Before signing up again I thought the game is now finally dead. Because of the zero activity on the ryzom.com forums. Glad to see the opposide is the case.

Because the people have these shiney new ingame API forums... they are leaving the official ones to die. It seems my worries were rational in a way. :S

The forums on the website are not seeing less traffic than before. It's still at 2-3 messages a day and has been for months.

If they are morbid, they have been for far longer than the in-game forums have been alive.

theese ingame forums are rather good, i must say. espesially the resize window function :) missing from a certain guild view window.

Well Anarkia posted a great announcement about future events for 2010 : New year, new start !

So I guess it is still a necessity to read the outgame official forums to be kept up to date with everything ! o.O
