IDEAS FOR RYZOM

This NEEDS to happen. Catalyzers past ql150 are currently pointless, and even the ql150's are only useful for f2p, yet somehow I can buy ql250 cats for 17fp's apiece. They are also available as "rewards" for many events.

I understand the perma-cats were created during the server merge period to entice veteran players to stay after the threat of level wipes, but perma-cats have become the norm and are expected now. Removing them would be a bad idea.

Please allow cat stacking (double XP x2) on subbed accounts. This is yet another way to entice people to sub accounts. Thanks

we already get double xp on subbed accounts. The xp in () is the norm, the number listed 1st is the double. See the system tab after action.

Double xp permanently is quite enough for subbed accounts.

Now the fact that Cats are handed out for missions even to subbed accounts is a WHOLE nother problem that needs to be dealt with. Like an option for same q weapon or generic crafting mats. (I'm thinking of terms of the people who don't like to craft) If the mission were to hand out q50 cats then a q50 weapon or generic mats.

Also the fact (or so it seems a fact) that the "devs" seemed more concerned with adding new crap and rules that are only compounding bugs and problems rather than fixing current one is yet a flippen pink elephant doing gymnastics in your living room issue.

I will repeat what I have heard: "10 years later the game is still in BETA"

I don't agree, I would prefer the option to turn them off. Stopped using cats a long time before the merge and have never liked the fact they're turned on permanently. I'd prefer to EARN my levels the way they were meant to be earned.

There are better ways to reward subbed accounts...oh wait, we can get higher than level 125!

If that were true, you'd be re-rolling your main every few days.

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

I rather enjoy the permacats for leveling crafting, but agree that there ought to be a way to turn them on/off.

Callie the reason that cats are still handed out as prizes and such is that they are hard-coded.

I would rather see new stuff being worked on that have the dev concentrate on fixing a thing that really isn't all that broken. (You can easily destroy the useless things, or give them to newbs. A q250 catalyst works at level 100 just fine.)

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's "beta".

Agreed Bittty, if I had a choice I'd only consider using them for crafting too.

If you don't need/want the cats give them to a f2p player.

Yes, giving them away to f2p players is what we've all been doing. It's just very weird to have something that is no longer relevant still be regarded somewhat high priced and used as awards in game (like Callie mentioned).

After reading everyone's responses, I realize this really isn't a problem as more of an annoyance. When I still get the occasional "Zora crash" this would probably fall into the "least of our problems" category.
