#17 Report | Quote[en]

A failed assertion occurs
ProcName: client_ryzom_rd.exe
Date: 2015/04/12 11:43:32
File: Z:\home\nevrax\code\nel\src\3d\driver\direct3d\driver_direct3d_ve rtex.cpp
Line: 878
FuncName: NL3D::CVolatileVertexBuffer::lock
Reason: "VertexBuffer->Lock (0, Size, &pbData, D3DLOCK_DISCARD) == D3D_OK"

Still not working.
I will stay with other mmorpg...

I am just thinking about it, it doesn't make sense that it will be only a directx issue.
I tried with OpenGL, still same setting and it does not work as well. I think Ryzom is a bit old and it does not support new hardware.

That's the error message with OpenGL, still similar, something to do with vertex shader :
ProcName: client_ryzom_rd.exe
Date: 2015/04/12 12:01:40
File: Z:\home\nevrax\code\nel\src\3d\vertex_buffer.cpp
Line: 1160
FuncName: NL3D::CVertexBufferReadWrite::getVertexCoordPointer
Reason: "_Parent->checkLockedBuffer()"

I deleted the character. Started another one. It worked fine until I went around the Karavan on the training side. I guess there are some sophisticated vertices there which my shader cannot support.
