Merci d'avance !

il y a un exe du style ryzom_configuration normalement dans le repertoire ryzom;

J'ai ce message avec OpenGL:

A failed assertion occurs
ProcName: client_ryzom_rd.exe
Date: 2015/04/08 20:32:37
File: Z:\home\nevrax\code\nel\src\3d\vertex_buffer.cpp
Line: 1160
FuncName: NL3D::CVertexBufferReadWrite::getVertexCoordPointer
Reason: "_Parent->checkLockedBuffer()"

#7 Report | Quote[fr]

google "direct x redistribute june 2005" and install that, your problem should be fixed, for some reason there's a file in that package that will fix this odd bug.

the error message screenshot is what helped me to know this would fix the problem, i've helped several others with the same issue, always the same solution.

Thanks a lot.
I tried, it does not work. Maybe the DirectX version is not the proper one ? Or I did not install it in the proper place. I honestly don't know.
I think I will give up, too much time spent on too little.

Btw, it is not the Surface Pro 3, I can run games like Fallout, Elders Scrolls Online (low settings) and others without any problem.

Here is the error message:

A failed assertion occurs
ProcName: client_ryzom_rd.exe
Date: 2015/04/10 10:59:46
File: Z:\home\nevrax\code\nel\src\3d\vertex_buffer.cpp

FuncName: NL3D::CVertexBufferReadWrite::getVertexCoordPointer
Reason: "_Parent->checkLockedBuffer()"

Pity because I played Ryzom before, probably one of the best mmorpg game ever.

Looking at the error message and being "sensible", I notice the word Pointer. Could this have something to do with mouse emulation on the Surface? ((Not a computer expert on the newer stuff.))

i'm glad you pointed that out bittty, but it's the line:
Z:\home\nevrax\code\nel\src\3d\vertex_buffer.cpp
i know that line will so up with the directx error i was in hopes was the problem. i'll double check the forums and try to find the old post that first clued me onto that fix, better to be sure then unsure. (the download is typically a ziped exe file that unpacks where you tell it, then you have to run the exe file in that "install", after the install you can delete the files in the unpacked folder without worry.)

i have run ryzom on a very old (one of the first) windows 7 touch tablet, i rarely used the touch feature to run the client (bluetooth keyboard and mouse) but could use them, when i first installed the client it needed that direct X "fix"

once i find the exact post that i learned this fix from i can verify that it's june 2005 redisto of direct x, but don't give up totally on us, we're still working on trying to figure it out.

Thanks a lot Talkirc !
The strange part is that it worked at the very beginning I installed it. I made the first Yubos quest but when I went to look the last yubo, it stopped.
Since not working. I re-installed it. No way.
